It is, and at least some in the financial industry have said as much. If the hedge funds don't like getting burned by their own game, they shouldn't play it and burn others. They've been doing it without caring, and now they're discovering that it's not so much fun to get caught in their own dishonest game. They should deal.

There are a few worrying reports coming out that they will probably start selling of their stocks that prop up Pension Funds in order to try to recoup some losses. That would be even more immoral. On the flip side, the outcry it would cause could be good for decent regulation in the long run.

I am part of wallstbets and have thousand invested in GME. I and my brothers and sisters will HOLD no matter what. Its not about money at this point, its about hurting those who have hurt the middle class so much. We will destroy them. If anything this has shown the people that we can unite regardless of left vs right.

Maybe we need market instability. People are tired of the rich playing by different rules. If hedge funds and big wall street players can pump stocks, so can a group of average joes.

So question from WS literate people here lol. My kid sent me an invite to RH last year so we both got $5 of free stock. My $5 was 1 stock of AMC as of this writing it's at $13 a share. It was chosen by me from a list when I signed up for my "free" $5 for signing up.

I do not have my bank linked to RH, have never bought or sold or anything other than sign up so my kid could get her free stuff. What to do? Is AMC gonna do what Gamestop did? and what does that mean for me? I hate numbers, they confuse me more than Dem...er nm

Sell (if you can) and make a couple of dollars after commissions and fees.

AMC is up 60%...and is being actively short squeezed too (Like GME).
Don't know who holds the majority of shorts on it...but they're getting screwed.

It's $13+ now so yeah I'd make a few bucks, but would selling it, keeping in mind I gain approx $13 bucks I got for free or holding it and hope for more be more fun?

So realizing I don't care if I lose the "free" $13 bucks, should I hold and hope it goes up? I don't mind the risk since it was free in the first place and is barely enough for a cuppa coffee lol!

I'd keep it and have fun watching it...knowing you're a part of history.

edt: Who knows...you might even get to become part of a class-action lawsuit against RH.

Yeah I think I'm hanging on to it. Like I said I don't care if I lose it because it was free to begin with and it is almost $15 ($14.24 as of this second) so yeah lol. I'm gonna have fun watching it!

I mean, its literally nothing, so why not just ride it out and see whats up?

I suspect it'll be toilet paper in a year. COVID has just about killed AMC, to the point they are now suing studios for not bringing content to theaters and isntead setting up their own streaming services (i think they sued HBOMax). The industry evolved suddenly, and AMC was caught more flatfooted than Blockbuster. Given the cost of popcorn, ill just take my big tv and surround sound.

Keep hearing moves on slv shorts soon...we all know that's a manipulated market the R subbers can sink into. There is literally about 2m weaponized investors who want communism through any of this...and they believe it too...

How do you get communism from this?

So were the hedge funds able to get out after RH and others stopped retail investor buying?

There are thousands of untold stories within these trades.

One that I read was a guy that was so happy to have made money so he could get his mom medical treatment.

What kind of country do we live in that someone has to get a one in a million share price so they can afford treatment?

Others are saying they are paying down debt. Some are holding the line and the diamond hands either in hopes of going up more or that the statement they are making is the diamond itself...

This stuff is deep....

Yup that's what I'm doing lol, it's up to $15 ish now. I literally "invested" 3 minutes to sign up and pick a "free" stock from a list
Just found out my kid has more of it and she's happy I told her to look.

Various fevers have been known throughout man’s time on Earth, but none more dangerous than the Fevers Of The Invisible. It’s mostly associated with hunters experiencing Deer Fever, when they’ve been in the woods, freezing for long enough and either 1 too many sips from the flask or just outright lunacy, they are suddenly surrounded by every deer in the forest and all they can do is take aim and fire away, inevitably hitting nothing but trees.

2020 brought us Commie Fever, Socialist Fever, Racist Fever, Police Fever, Insurrectionists Fever, Covid Fever.....lots of fevers this past year with no cure in sight.
