1: having life : not dead or inanimate

If you're still alive after you died, then you didn't die. The question answers itself.

Great point.. so let's remove the life aspect and substitute it with consciousness.

the state of being awake and aware of one's surroundings.

Awareness is key. "Or I think, therefore I am"
We're energy.. a state that till now is neither created or destroyed. First laws of thermodynamics. Perhaps.

Clinically dead is not biologically dead. This is the only scenario where one might die but is still alive.

So being alive is being awake and aware aka being conscious? Making the question, is there consciousness after consciousness has ceased? See my previous comment.

Yes I saw your previous comment. Hence my previous comment.

Living body and consciousness are not one in the same. My physical body did house my brain, but not my ability to think.

Is it possible to think without a brain?
It's hard enough to think with a brain debilitated by drink.

Could we be thinking this without language?

Going back to my thinking.

Oh I can answer it.

Prove it? But if he did say answer, send him over. I need the money.

Yes, it's very challenging to truly define life as it seems to be a spectrum and not just on/off. Being alive is very subjective. So the question depends heavily on how you define death. No respiratory, no metabolic or brain activity, no cellular replication, etc so once again, that would suggest that life and death cannot happen to the same organism simultaneously. Death is the definitive conclusion to life, not a continuation. The question answered itself.

The question answered itself.

how you define death

No it didn't

But I have to admit you bring a good argument or debate.

You can rationale in your head or consciousness as I can do mine. We may or may not come to the same intersection. Stalemate.

What does Bigelow define as 'evidence'. This question must be answered.

No, but it is possible to exist without thinking. They are distinct eyes, one is I AM, the other is our local Mind. In one we can exist in love. In the other we exist in thought.

Well I have a story to tell and it involves three individuals plus the deceased. Other than our word for "evidence" were we hooked up to a monitor to track electrical fields, signals and whatever else to prove that some anomaly happened? Of course not. We are people just living our daily lives.

Probably like the others out there.

All I know is what I know and what I felt and did happen in December 2011. I can't explain it other than what I now believe. Oh, and it wasn't because we had an undigested piece of cheese or some other piece of food that would cause heartburn. I would provide a lie detector test but so what, others will believe what they believe. There were other events that unfolded that day prior to the incident that I have not reported out on here but they remain in another thread posed several years ago.

What I do find odd is the millions say they support and believe in God but would scoff at my experience.

As far as his guidelines and rules for evidence

It already has been but you seem extremely poor at finding evidence so here so go:

Then again, many on earth walk the earth as brain dead so I wonder if they would qualify?

Your thoughts?

My answer was "tongue in cheek", but on subjects like this one, I like to quote Captain Kirk. "I like to believe in (dramatic pause) Possibilities". Since I was a child, I've always loved tales of mysteries and the paranormal. I'm always looking forward to new (credible) evidence. I, unfortunately, can't provide any.

Can I get him to give me $1 million if he can't clearly define exactly what "life" is in the first place?

youtu.be...

53 minutes. Tl:dr. Skip to 25 mins. Life after death, what happens during the death process. Quite good. It was actually quite good to hear him speak about what happens during the death proces and what happens because if you are into spiritual enlightenment and have learnt about it it is actually the same thing.

You experience ego death and become one with the universe/existence/reality.

Your ego dies and you realize you are not who you thought you were, you are everything in existence. You become one with the universe.. aka God, Consciousness, reality.

So when it comes to death, your current ego, begins to be broken down and destroyed in a sense i guess. You become one with and realise you are EVERYTHING.

If you can answer that time exists in all 3 aspects, past, present and future, then there you have your proof of the destination of every consciousness. In all the past, everyone, including your self is still there. That's where you will START OUT being upon your death. Live well as it cannot be changed.
