First week of the new administration and all things are just about as expected IMO.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, tasked with enforcing federal immigration law, are being instructed to free all detainees in their custody, as President Joe Biden’s administration halts deportations.

An internal January 21 ICE memo, independently reviewed by Breitbart News and first reported by Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, orders agents to “stop all removals,” including land and air deportations.

In addition, the memo tells agents that “all cases” of detainees in ICE custody are now to be considered “no significant likelihood of removal in foreseeable future” — suggesting all detainees will need to be released.

“Release them all, immediately,” the ICE official wrote to staff in the memo.

The memo is saying there’s a pause on noncitizen removals already in the USA..

The pause on removals applies to any noncitizen present in the United States when this directive takes effect with a final order of removal except one who:

1. According to a written finding by the Director of ICE, has engaged in or is suspected of terrorism or espionage, or otherwise poses a danger to the national security of the United States; or

2. Was not physically present in the United States before November 1, 2020; or

3. Has voluntarily agreed to waive any rights to remain in the United States,
provided that he or she has been made fully aware of the consequences of waiver and has been given a meaningful opportunity to access counsel prior to signing
the waiver;2 or

4. For whom the Acting Director of ICE, following consultation with the General
Counsel, makes an individualized determination that removal is required by law.

You don't have to look far in this article to see that it has little purpose outside of manipulating the way people think and feel. It is disingenuous at best.

It goes so far as to say that Breitbart News and Fox's Tucker Carlson, independently reviewed the memo, but they will only say the "the ICE official" wrote the memo to the staff. This a cheap, cowardly, and obvious ploy.

Which ICE official went outside of orders and sent a memo to release all detainees immediately? For if this is true then not only show he lose his job, he should also be detained.

This is pure hate generating, divisive, and deceptive garbage. When are we going to stop giving these people are time, our money, and our minds?

For me it is. It may be something someone else can find useful, but I find it absolutely worthless.

The focus in this article, if it were true, should be why an ICE official would take it upon himself to write a memo demanding release of all detainees in his care, when the EO called for a halting of all deportations.

It seems to me that is a bigger issue, and definitely a bigger problem and danger, than an EO that calls for a hold on releasing the detainees.
