I won the audition for my first band with The Trooper. I busted both crash cymbals I had down to the ground but kept on playing. Bass player was astounded I did it on a four piece kit. Fake it 'til you make it is my motto.
So I got Nights Of The Dead: Legacy Of The Beast live in Mexico City today in the mail. I'm up to song 6, The Trooper and it kicks ass, like all Maiden does. They really need to make a dvd of this show, the cd's aren't enough. It does come with a gorgeous booklet detailing the themes of the show and how it was created, really cool stuff.
I still need to pick up The Book Of Souls live. I missed this last tour, not even sure if I knew they were playing here, but did see TBOS tour and it was also excellent. The Red And The Black and Tears Of A Clown rocked hard.
Nicko is a way underrated drummer. Dude is all over the place.
