I and a friend of my fiance are music trivia buffs. We always throw out something to try to stump each other. She has stumped me a few times, but I usually win and thought I'd bring the game here to get folks away from politics for a bit.

The main rule is : NO GOOGLE. If you don't know, then you don't know. Answers will be supplied.

Ok, first 2.

Meatloaf and Gene Simmons.

God I watched way too many VH1 rock documentaries in the 90's.

Can we just have the op pose the questions?

It could become a fun thread without all the hijacking

Looks like a fun thread. I'm not good on AKAs though.

How about lyrics? Name the song.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."

"Robin Hood, William Tell, Ivanhoe and Lancelot, they don't envy me."

Elvis Costello and Yusuf Islam. Can't remember when he converted but I remember going to hear him talk about it in late 85.

Vincent Furnier - that one's really easy.

Soft White Underbelly - it's a band, not a single artist. They used this name when they would play unscheduled bar gigs just for the hell of it. One of the more well known "secrets" in RNR history.

The other game threads take turns...

The person that answered correctly the last main post gets to ask the next question.

And we do one at a time to keep it going.

So,?someone may answer “Meatloaf” to one question and get to ask the next question. (OP needs sleep after all and cannot always be here to moderate).

So, let’s begin again with a softball question...

Q: Name the Artist: James Marshal Hendrix

(Hey, one answer, and take turns!)

I'm going to say Jimmy Hendrix just to get a turn. (Thanks for the lob)

I don't know if this one is easy or hard. Heard it on Casey Kasem decades ago.
