Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden opened the final debate with President Trump by predicting a “dark winter” and a bleak future with another 200,000 deaths from the coronavirus pandemic.
An alarming scientific report compiled by British researchers and shared with the Trump White House warns that, in the absence of drastic and coordinated government action, the novel coronavirus could kill as many as 2.2 million people in the United States alone.
The new research (pdf), led by epidemiologist Dr. Neil Ferguson and published Monday by the Imperial College of London, shows that merely acting to slow rather than completely stop the spread of COVID-19 would "still likely result in hundreds of thousands of deaths and health systems (most notably intensive care units) being overwhelmed many times over."

When biden said that deaths were at 220k. How many are there now( with it still ongoing)?
The imperial college report predicted 2.2 million deaths in US with no action taken. Would you say no action was taken?

He said that on October 22, 2020. If you want to find the actual numbers, go nuts. He was a bit off.

Yes, action was taken. And it totally eradicated the flu. Well done indeed. Remember, all I did is quote numbers, then back them up. facts not feelz.

December mortality rates are still incomplete, particularly the last 2 weeks, so total deaths will still increase a little.
I can't see anything in your linked article to support the claim that total homicides have more than trippled? I would also suggest that seems extremely unlikely
Murder up 36.7% in 57 agencies with data through at least September (though most have data through November). Murder up in 51 of 57, 37 of 58 agencies reporting murder up more than 30%.
Road traffic deaths have also decreased as you confirm in first half of the year. Why would that be evidence against the numbers bring correct?
Even a relatively small increase deaths amongst people in younger age brackets would look like a high increase in percentage terms, again the text you quote confirms this How is this evidence that the numbers are incorrect?
The current population of U.S. in 2021 is 332,915,073, a 0.58% increase from 2020.
The population of U.S. in 2020 was 331,002,651, a 0.59% increase from 2019.
The population of U.S. in 2019 was 329,064,917, a 0.6% increase from 2018.
The population of U.S. in 2018 was 327,096,265, a 0.62% increase from 2017.

I think that is a good place to find facts when it is updated. There are several years of pre-covid data there.
And while I sincerely doubt you comprehend this, "facts not feelz" is about finding the truth, not confirmation bias. So while I have my bias firmly planted, AS DO YOU, the facts will lead to the truth, even if it's not what I, or possibly YOU, want to see.

Murder rates have risen by 30%. (Not more than tripled. If I wrote that, I was mistaken. Thanks for pointing that out.)

As I mentioned, traffic was way down in June, but the fatality rate was up. With way more people back on the road now, let's just hope the traffic fatality rate has gone down since. It's a good article you might want to check it out.

As per the article, that age group saw a tremendous increase of death (by as much as 41% in July, and it's been steadily over 20% higher than usual since March-- look at the graph in the article) and only .046 of that was from COVID.

This significant rise in non-COVID related death is not reflected in the official numbers given. Something is very off.

you are adversarial in every comment you have ever made to me, so forgive me if I sense a pattern forming.
But regardless, as I said, the facts will be factful, and factlike. So much so, that we will all be forced to agree on their factlike existence.
I may have to accept my wish for my bias to be correct didn't win. I can accept that. FACTS NOT FEELZ.

No, you're not missing the obvious
To get those numbers I used data from the CDC.
On the CDC link I posted in OP there is a breakdown of deaths by age group, and how many of those were COVID related.
According to the data posted, 7,938 of the total 169,916 number of deaths in this age group were attributed to COVID.
Which I just realized is 4.6% not .046% (groan)
Still, 95.4% of these deaths were not COVID related.

Again insults when you can't deal with disagreement.
Not clear what 'feelz' you might think I gave since all I have done is point out the facts regarding excess deaths.
The one expressing an opinion here is you that you have been lied to. Feel free to provide some facts to back this up I am sure it would help the conversation

Can you point to where I accused you of using feelz? I have provided facts. If any of the facts I provided are wrong, please show why they are wrong, with a link. If you re-read my posts, I am looking for the truth, not confirmation bias.
The truth can't hide when the facts exist. it will be here for all to see. And if the facts show that the virus was deadly, and killed a whole bunch of folks, the facts will show that.
How the reaction worked, how well lockdowns worked, how well the world did in response to this will be more subjective to "feelz", but we aren't discussing those points here, just the numbers.
Who lied to me? The CDC? that's where a good bit of the numbers come from. Please correct any misinformation with factual links.
what do we hope to achieve? How about finding the damn truth? News flash, a few of us in the world are tired of having our legs pissed on and being told it's raining. This is something I know I have been patiently waiting on to see the real numbers. Just how deadly this virus is. Well, it looks like we now know. We have been fed lies long enough.

Thats an intesting point then.
So if deaths in that age group are up 20% + then covud deaths (which are obviously all new) only account for about a quarter the increase .
