Is that all? That's fine then.

My God. How insensitive and a generally inhuman person can you be?

Deny away. Until this pandemic affects you and yours. I hope not. My 96 year old mum has been tested positive. But according to the likes of you she is irrelevant. I'd love to meet you face to face.

So, we are only allowed to mention the accepted fake research interpretations that the heads of government and government agencies is pertinent. We cannot read the evidence ourselves, since suppressed evidence is not recognized as real by these people.

This is a virus, it does kill some people, especially if the people are on meds or have had procedures that mess up proper immune response. But for the vast majority it is not much worse than the flu. But I cannot mention that, so disregard my statements because there is no ACCEPTED evidence by the CDC or FDA to prove it is real. Unless these agencies say it is real, it is not real. Don't peddle information that goes against the beliefs being pushed by these agencies or by our government and Gretchen Whitmer. Whitmer has been helping us get more dependent on the government than any other governor has, she is excellent at finding professionals to back her paranoia propaganda too. We can go to the gym now, must be because she wants to exercise with others at the capitol, the capitol restaurants can deliver, since she is paranoid of someone kidnapping her, nobody is allowed to go eat in restaurants because she can't.

It kills "some people"? Remind me, how many million people worldwide?

All on meds or whatever?

Wave those hands. Be a Covid denier. Gain stars.

You saddoes.

I study the real statistics and evidence. The vast majority of people who die from covid die of other diseases, covid is just the straw, like other viruses and pneumonias are, that breaks the camels back.

I am not a denier, I know a person who died as a direct result of the covid virus. And that is very rare. The fact that covid killed him directly is real, he also had COPD and some of the meds for that also contributed, but his particular damage was caused by the virus itself. That is a rare thing, that happened when we did not know hardly anything about the disease, in March I think. Now with what is known, he may have survived.

I read research and conclusions from research. Your comment is something that I know is wrong from reading about this disease. I believe science, not a person fearmongering on this site. There are half a billion people worldwide on meds that cause our immune system to not work properly and also a lot of chemicals in the food chemistry to increase shelf life that can interfere with our proper immune system function.

You have the right to believe the news pushing fear, I will believe in scientific research.

Oh the pandemic has personally affected us all. What in the hell do you think the lock downs, job losses, mask mandates, etc., are? People who now have to live with it are shortly going to be out in the streets because the rent and bill moratoriums are ending and they have no money and no prospects for earning more.

People have killed themselves.

People have lost relatives to things no COVID because either their doctors delayed treatments fearing COVID emergency or because they delayed treatment fearing COVID themselves. The person who lived two houses down from me was this person.

My entire family is so in fear that we have not seen each other in an entire effing year.

People have gone so far into despair they have committed suicide.

People have not been allowed to even properly mourn because they aren't allowed at bedside to the dying or because of the number restrictions on funerals.

But none of them matter because COVID can also cause you to die ...

Arresting everyone who disagrees with them.

They gonna need prisons the size of Canada.

More likely they're gonna need all those bodybags they stockpiled some years ago.

And rumours of guillotine. Not to mention firing squads.

It's not looking too good right now guys. Godspeed.

You know what, I've been working so much more since the virus. People keep getting sick around me but no, it doesn't want my old bones for a reason only God knows.

I was supposed to go vacations, nope. No people and can't abandon my position. I'm so tired.

This was an article specifically about proposed legislation in South Africa and passed laws in China. Like, why would any such laws in thise localities be a surprise considering their general governance.

Its not much to get worked up over. Its still a crime in some European countries to openly deny the holocaust. South africa is a chaotic land, and china a dystolian nightmare. Countries all over the world already have cencorship laws for ages.

To allow this old article simply informing the reader of general bad governance from around the world to raise the blood pressure is not reccommmended.

Big ol nothing burger actually.

Man thats crazy. Im glad florida is still in the usa. Life has been preserved in pre '20 normality. Im still paintballing, muh kids been to theme park, zoo , movie theaters, the bars and independent cafes/restaraunts are booming. Trampoline park next weekend.

Its funny that the corporate chains i try not to even visit are the only one telling us they have no coins to give back. No problem getting change back at the bars and bodegas. Or basically anywhere not part of that 20 something corp retail alliance for the breaking of the american psyche project.

What you are professing here sincerely ahocks me. As some may know i dont internet mucj anymore, so i only keep up with news and testimony a couple times a week. To realize that this normal living we been back on is one of the few places of the intact usa at present with the right to do so is somewhat eye opening.

I figured this was limited to like NY, Jersey Cali and Illinois. I guess more states have temporarily fallen from the union than i realized. You and everyone affected has my condolonces. I cant imagine it ladting much longer.

In contrast though, our population in florida has received hundreds of thousands possibly millions of potential tax payers. Good for freedom, but it could inflate land prices thia year pretty bad, and rental rates as well. It is all a trade off i suppose.

I have often wondered how many kids have suffered due to fake news about vaccines.

I do think in extreme cases legal consequences for the morons who spread this stuff is acceptable. ...

Possibly less than how many thousands have been vaccine-injured, wouldn't ya think ?

Speaking of fake news, just how many "thousands have been vaccine injured"?

This is not a reply to the profile of "Oldcarpy2", as have told the profile at least twice previously that no longer have interest in exchanging with them, and their previous profile , due to rudeness and disrespectful comments.

But despite this thread being seemingly dead : there are still some whom read here, members and non-members alike, whom may not know that profile, and wonder whether the question was valid.

Here is a quote of a tweet from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. of Children's Health Defense :

Gates’ obsession with vaccines seems fueled by a messianic conviction that he is ordained to save the world with technology and a god-like willingness to experiment with the lives of lesser humans.

Promising to eradicate Polio with $1.2 billion, Gates took control of India ‘s National Advisory Board (NAB) and mandated 50 polio vaccines (up from 5) to every child before age 5. Indian doctors blame the Gates campaign for a devastating vaccine-strain polio epidemic that paralyzed 496,000 children between 2000 and 2017.

In 2017, the Indian Government dialed back Gates’ vaccine regimen and evicted Gates and his cronies from the NAB. Polio paralysis rates dropped precipitously. In 2017, the World Health Organization reluctantly admitted that the global polio explosion is predominantly vaccine strain, meaning it is coming from Gates’ Vaccine Program.

The most frightening epidemics in Congo, the Philippines, and Afghanistan are all linked to Gates’ vaccines. By 2018, ¾ of global polio cases were from Gates’ vaccines. In 2014, the Gates Foundation funded tests of experimental HPV vaccines, developed by GSK and Merck, on 23,000 young girls in remote Indian provinces.

Approximately 1,200 suffered severe side effects, including autoimmune and fertility disorders. Seven died. Indian government investigations charged that Gates funded researchers committed pervasive ethical violations: pressuring vulnerable village girls into the trial, bullying parents, forging consent forms, and refusing medical care to the injured girls.

The case is now in the country’s Supreme Court. In 2010, the Gates Foundation funded a trial of a GSK’s experimental malaria vaccine, killing 151 African infants and causing serious adverse effects including paralysis, seizure, and febrile convulsions to 1,048 of the 5,049 children.

We've been mostly able to go and do, but things have been altered. We have to wear masks, even to exercise. Restaurant capacity has been limited, so some have been existing mostly by carryout.

I have been relegated to permanent work from home and lost hours/status as an employee. I'm now simply contract labor.

Our governor has left restrictions mostly up to local authorities, so some parts of the state are entirely free. I live in a city that's democrat controlled, so we're not. The only reason we don't have it worse is that county authorities refuse to go nearly as far as the mayor wants to go.

de Santis has been stronger than our governor has on the question of actually pushing back on local authorities, so you've been very fortunate in Florida, more so than you realize.

Our kiddo is on the his martial arts school's competition team, and they've been training for a solid year with no tournaments. The first one will be in February. A solid year ...

Considering all of the other investments they have : it figures that they are interesting in manipulating our food-chemistries.

From that article :

While it may be surprising that a tech billionaire would also be the biggest farmland owner in the country, this is not Gates’ only foray into agriculture. In 2008, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced $306 million in grants to promote high-yield, sustainable agriculture among smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. The foundation has further invested in the development and proliferation of “super crops” resistant to climate change and higher-yield dairy cows. Last year, the organization announced Gates Ag One, a nonprofit to advance those efforts

Sounds like Franken-Foods™, no ?

I feel like it will never be enough. Lockdowns, masks, regulations and soon they will want to punish those who question the official story. It has been seen in this thread. You put things in perspective with the numbers and you are told Oh is that not enough death for you? You are insensitive and a very bad person. For what?

If you don't agree that this is the worst thing ever to happen on this planet and completely comply and agree with every regulation, every lockdown, every demand made of you, then you are a terrible person. And how dare you use the actual numbers to put things in perspective. You want people to die for doing so.

Why do I feel like this is just the beginning and that they will push as far as they can to the point that stating that you don't believe something and saying it online will not only land lots of comments saying you are awful, but also land you in jail. Hyperbole? I hope so.

I'm not even trying to say that precautions don't need to be followed. I'm saying that questioning everything should be a God given right and not make you the worst person to ever live who wants death to elderly, and surely should not land you in some kind of legal trouble for not simply accepting the word from those who have been known to lie, have reasons and gains to lie for, and worst of all now want to shut up or ban any opposing views.

And yet... It is legal for the government to spread propaganda.

Question... Propaganda can be lies right?

This article about propaganda describes lies as "the handiest trick of the propagandist":

...
Lies, Lies!

Certainly, the handiest trick of the propagandist is the use of outright lies. Consider, for example, the lies that Martin Luther wrote in 1543 about the Jews in Europe: “They have poisoned wells, made assassinations, kidnaped children . . . They are venomous, bitter, vindictive, tricky serpents, assassins, and children of the devil who sting and work harm.” His exhortation to so-called Christians? “Set fire to their synagogues or schools . . . Their houses [should] also be razed and destroyed.”

A professor of government and social studies who has studied that era says: “Antisemitism has fundamentally nothing to do with the actions of Jews, and therefore fundamentally nothing to do with an antisemite’s knowledge of the real nature of Jews.” He also notes: “The Jews stood for everything that was awry, so that the reflexive reaction to a natural or social ill was to look to its supposed Jewish sources.”

Complaining about it on ATS isn't going to help much though. (italics in the first sentence below are mine, as a follow-up to this reminder; as in, 'what does help ...', 'what can protect you')

...
How can you protect yourself from the types of people that the Bible calls “profitless talkers” and “deceivers of the mind”? (Titus 1:10) Once you are familiar with some of their tricks, you are in a better position to evaluate any message or information that comes your way. Here are some ways to do this.

Be selective: A completely open mind could be likened to a pipe that lets just anything flow through it—even sewage. No one wants a mind contaminated with poison. Solomon, a king and educator in ancient times, warned: “Anyone inexperienced puts faith in every word, but the shrewd one considers his steps.” (Proverbs 14:15) So we need to be selective. We need to scrutinize whatever is presented to us, deciding what to accept and what to reject.

However, we do not want to be so narrow that we refuse to consider facts that can improve our thinking. How can we find the right balance? By adopting a standard with which to measure new information. Here a Christian has a source of great wisdom. He has the Bible as a sure guide for his thinking. On the one hand, his mind is open, that is, receptive to new information. He properly weighs such new information against the Bible standard and fits what is true into his pattern of thinking. On the other hand, his mind sees the danger of information that is entirely inconsistent with his Bible-based values.

Use discernment: Discernment is “acuteness of judgment.” It is “the power or faculty of the mind by which it distinguishes one thing from another.” A person with discernment perceives subtleties of ideas or things and has good judgment.

Using discernment, we will be able to recognize those who are merely using “smooth talk and complimentary speech” in order to “seduce the hearts of guileless ones.” (Romans 16:18) Discernment enables you to discard irrelevant information or misleading facts and distinguish the substance of a matter. But how can you discern when something is misleading?

Put information to the test: “Beloved ones,” said John, a first-century Christian teacher, “do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions.” (1 John 4:1) Some people today are like sponges; they soak up whatever they come across. It is all too easy to absorb whatever is around us.

But it is far better for each individual personally to choose what he will feed his mind. It is said that we are what we eat, and this can apply to food for both the body and the mind. No matter what you are reading or watching or listening to, test to see whether it has propagandistic overtones or is truthful.

Moreover, if we want to be fair-minded, we must be willing to subject our own opinions to continual testing as we take in new information. We must realize that they are, after all, opinions. Their trustworthiness depends on the validity of our facts, on the quality of our reasoning, and on the standards or values that we choose to apply.

Ask questions: As we have seen, there are many today who would like to ‘delude us with persuasive arguments.’ (Colossians 2:4) Therefore, when we are presented with persuasive arguments, we should ask questions.

First, examine whether there is bias. What is the motive for the message? If the message is rife with name-calling and loaded words, why is that? Loaded language aside, what are the merits of the message itself? Also, if possible, try to check the track record of those speaking. Are they known to speak the truth? If “authorities” are used, who or what are they? Why should you regard this person—or organization or publication—as having expert knowledge or trustworthy information on the subject in question? If you sense some appeal to emotions, ask yourself, ‘When viewed dispassionately, what are the merits of the message?’

Do not just follow the crowd: If you realize that what everybody thinks is not necessarily correct, you can find the strength to think differently. While it may seem that all others think the same way, does this mean that you should? Popular opinion is not a reliable barometer of truth. Over the centuries all kinds of ideas have been popularly accepted, only to be proved wrong later. Yet, the inclination to go along with the crowd persists. The command given at Exodus 23:2 serves as a good principle: “You must not follow after the crowd for evil ends.”

Great post.

I thinks a lot of what is going on is that people are aware that it is propaganda, but find it a useful tool for excusing the same ugly behavior and feelings that they call out in others.

Most people were taught when they were a child, that doing something just because someone else did it first, or because your were told to do something you know is wrong, is not an excuse for bad behavior.

We seemed to have reverted to the minds of children. Children on the playground have to be supervised. So is that what we are being conditioned for, mandatory and conditioned supervision?

It seems we are showing a lack of maturity, triggered by vengeful hearts, and led by the worse role models, including our elected officials.

We have a choice. We can either pull the plug on all this madness, take control back of our minds, or we can continue down this road to perdition.

We will never win this war for our minds if we keep following Johnny.

Lets face it, freedom of speech is been interpreted by those that dictate how much of that freedom you should have.

And I didn't mention all the kids who have been out of actual school for a solid year or more too.

That's an entire year of lost education. Virtual is no replacement for them. It's like being punished and being held back for no reason at all.

How are they going to get that part of their lives back?

Then we can get into all the kids who get stuck in homes with abusive parents whose tension scales are off the charts because of all this ... I feel like people who are looking at disease numbers forget all the other various effects of keeping people locked in at home and out of their regular and they simply aren't adding it up. In some cases, there are worse things than death because you have to live with the consequences imposed on you.

In my neck of the woods schools are back, with restrictions and poor babies are been sprayed daily with chemicals for their safety, literarily in schools, now is been some concern parents that take into consideration the mental and well being of their children in public schools and are opening places to send their children with normal schooling as possible and no restrictions. But those children specially in high school I see them roaming the streets everyday with nothing to do and obviously no schooling. Is going to be a big generation of adults that are going to be more clueless than the generation of today and demanding that everything is given to them because they are entitle to it.

We're fortunate that ours is grade school age so he's been back full-time, but the older ones are part-time in person, part-time virtual.

We did finally get to see some family this Christmas, and I got to see my nephews after a whole year. Our son has been training martial arts solid all year, so he's in real good shape and has been active. My oldest nephew is a senior and an athlete in three sports, so he has motivation to figure out how to stay in shape for whatever sports they would be allowed. My youngest two nephews though ... had nothing. My goodness, it shows they've been sitting on the couch playing video games and eating their heads off. They have turned into total meatballs complete with mini-beer bellies!

It was a bit shocking.
