In less than a week Joe biden will be sworn in as president. But the world doesn't stop or take a break while one country is going through a political circus.

Foreign politics are still ongoing.

"Iran has been accelerating its breaches of the nuclear deal in the past two months amid heightened tensions with the US."

Iran has been breaking their side of the deal for years now and at least three times during the Obama administration.
President trump pulled the US out of the deal with the reasoning it was a bad deal.

Iran also has issue with other European countries.

"Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said Iran still wanted to salvage the deal but blamed European countries for failing to live up to their own commitments."

www.aljazeera.com...

This post is not about the pros and cons of the nuclear deal.
This is a heads up on Joe Biden's first test a the big cheese.

Any thoughts on what direction he will head?

Time to dust off the war machine and fire it up to make sure it’s still running on all cylinders!

How many billions in gold did Obama fly over there in the middle of the night?

They'll get a $2,000 stimulus per citizen plus enough money per citizen to be retroactive for the last two stimuli just to be fair because we were being mean then. Sort of like the thing with illegals in the last stimulus. Americans got $600 and illegals got $600 plus whatever the last stimulus didn't pay them.

That is possible, but is that the wrong approach or the right one?

Considering In 2019 the United States spent around 718.69 billion U.S. dollars on its military, more than $2 billion every day!

And more than any other nation on Earth a few times over.

I imagine the war machine will be running just fine.

lolz

Right and wrong don't factor in the equations anymore.

It's all about optics, speeches, and control.

Sorry, took my cynical pill this morning.

He will likely try to renegotiate a deal and offer to loosen sanctions against Iran , Iran want a deal because they need a deal so it's probably in everyone's interests ... well nearly everyone.

Pretty sure that whatever it is will be the wrong way to go just because that seems to be Uncle Joe's history with foreign affairs decisions. He's pretty reliably been on the wrong side of every one, even during the Obama Admin. They sort of told him to sit down in the corner and play with his action figures or something.

We get to not watch another Gulf war on TV , I think that's plenty.
The IAEA said they had abided by the deal until the US withdrew , if the main partner in a deal withdraws would you continue to abide by the terms ? , pretty sure I wouldn't.

Or, as the rest world says, bring them back in with a diplomatic solution and allow them access to their own funds.

The only reason its gone wrong over the last few years is because Trump excluded them to keep his Saudi business partners happy.

And he screwed up the middle east by having a bunch of nations make peace with Israel, which doesn't help Iran. Stupid Trump. War is so much better than peace. Amirite?

They violated the deal 3 times before the end of 2016. So I dont think they took the consequences to seriously.

www.huffpost.com...

That is all water under the bridge really.
The new administration needs to move forward and this OP is about what biden will do.
