Twitter said in a statement that the mass censorship is “to protect the conversation on our service from attempts to incite violence, organize attacks, and share deliberately misleading information about the election outcome.”

“We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behavior that has the potential to lead to offline harm. Given the violent events in Washington, DC, and increased risk of harm, we began permanently suspending thousands of accounts that were primarily dedicated to sharing QAnon content on Friday afternoon,” the blog post stated.

Most companies have to worry about boycotts in tense political times like this, Twitter said hold my beer and are getting rid of content creators, and content consumers.

If they remove one side of keyboard warriors, the opposition won't have anyone to fight.

What’s the next group they will ban? Because they will. At the rate they are going, they will start banning lefties soon; wouldn’t be surprised to see them start that soon, instead of in a year or two like they probably originally planned. Yea, it's weird. The rest of America is completely sane, and seemingly impervious to manipulation. Just the minority left is getting caught up in the hype without factual information to support their claims.

They idolize their leaders and think they offer salvation.

The right has a healthy mistrust for all elected officials. They're critical of the leaders and never let them take full reign without healthy skeptisim.

If something doesn't happen, in a month or two most will not even remember there was an election. Let alone that it was contested.

It will turn into a fable. Snopes will fact check that it is false, the election was not contested.

They have depressed people and taken jobs and money, entertainment and regular life like holidays and vacations next is the emotional needs. Many are almost dependent on those places they visit daily, they will feel crushed scared and alone...job done. next step ready.
