This is a well known published medical journal study which if you know how to read it and what you are reading you will understand it is talking about a completely different virus. There are many different strains of Coronavirus or Covid the reason ours is called Covid-19 is because it means literally
Co=corona vi=virus d=disease and 19 because it emerged in 2019 its official scientific name is SARS-COV-2. I honestly only skimmed the second set of paperwork you scanned but it appears to be a plan to tackle the likely possibility that more zoonotic diseases like the one they were describing and MERS would develop and how to identify them before they got to the human population.

Oh and yes they did say please let us keep doing this research bc if we don’t get ahead of it, there will be a pandemic. They literally said that for 20 years, got billions through scaring everyone that if they didn’t work they couldn’t prevent a pandemic. And I can clearly see they played the sh#t out of us now that I’m reading this and we’re a year into ZombieLand

That is the most ridiculous aspect of this entire ordeal.
"We need to enhance the contagiousness/durability/lethality of these viruses so that we can better learn how to fight them"
o_O
History is replete with examples of mankind tampering with nature "with good intentions" and to "help get ahead of the problem". It used to be limited to introducing exogenous species into ecosystems to combat undesirable pests (e.g. cane toads in Australia during the 19th century), and then acting baffled when their well-intentioned project went off the rails and disrupted nature's balance. We've one-upped that and gone directly to engineering increasingly deadly pathogens "for research and study purposes"

No mental hurdles here----let me clearly state this
I don't trust China one bit
BUT this whole thing is like the beginning of Captain Trips in the Stand. Its not a conspiracy that released it. It was likely a accident.
The lab and the proximity make sense. So to me...its no conspiracy for China to be putting out misinformation and doing the old CYA game. Trying to supplant the US doesn't work when your country unleashed a plague upon the world.
