Theleftpoliticians are nothing but authoritarians.
They hate freedom, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights, obviously.
Fixed that for you.

Any Declaration of a State of Emergency due to COVID from any Republican Governor has similiar outcomes.

All governments are authoritarian.

Who is writing this "law"?
Not independents, not republicans.

First off, you mean NYS, right?
Second, laws happen when people can't behave in a way where they are not a danger to themselves or others in society.
I certainly don't agree (not having read the bill and digested it in its entirety yet) that rounding people up in "medical facilities" is the way to go, but we do definitely do need to up our game on contact tracing, notifications, and quarantining at home when there is a threat.
So in a way, the people of the U.S. may have brought this upon themselves by refusing to believe there is a public health crisis happening.
And your holocaust photo? Well, the people who stood idly by ignoring what was happening because it wasn't happening to or didn't affect them bear much of the guilt as well. So it works both ways.
Everyone in society has a contract with others, and to be honest, it seems like too many are irresponsibly breaking the contract.
There is a fine line here, and we can probably all do without the drama, but what would you suggest, if say, an even more virulent and deadly strain hit us? I bet it would be to remove yourself from society and go every man, woman, and child for themselves. And that would be fine with me, if it was only you it affected.

We're talking about the draconian attempt at eliminating any aspect of freedom and liberty by New York state democrats.

I really wish I could agree with you Flesh699 but I've seen multiple occasions of the calls for death.
I've also seen some from radical leftist (well, as leftist as the US gets) groups calling for similar things vice-versa.
But yes, in general, most Americans are moderate not extremists.
Place the blame where it belongs.
It wasn't the "right" that had a mock beheading of the President of the United States on national TV. That's where it all started for many people most likely. Linky
Oh please.

There's no constitutional basis for requiring that masks be worn.
Period. SCOTUS has authorized certain State governments to act in accordance with their own laws in the past regarding emergency situations.
Seems unlikely that there would be a national mask mandate. I hope Joe's not dumb enough to try it.
He might ask us all to do it. It doesn't hurt to wear a mask for brief periods when in public.
But he has no constitutional basis to do so, I don't think. Plus, stacking the Court looks unlikely given the outcome of the Election, and probably was anyway.

It was an "act" to "amend". Look here ballotpedia.org...
It is a power move. Nothing more. If challenged in court. It would squish flatter than a bug under a foot.

You guys ready for a Biden presidency? DO YOU HAVE BUYERS REMORSE?
This happened under a Trump presidency. You can’t blame a person who isn’t president yet.
EXCUSE ME?
According to every single media outlet Biden is the president.
Biden has been declared President elect. Trump is still President up to the inauguration isn’t he?
