Meh, patronizing me and cloaking your falsehoods behind honoring tToS is not a convincing counter argument against proving your claim.

But anyway, we had seen a prelude to this legislation going way back into 2020. There were posts about WHO officials and various other un-elected "health experts" drawing up whitepapers and plans about forcible segregation of family members, going into private residences and separating children from parents or vice versa, in the name of safety.

"Lawmakers" have swallowed this hook, line and sinker; this is merely the legislative (knee-jerk) response to that hysteria and fear that were implanted into their minds from "health experts".

I have been saying and continue to say to those around me, that Biden subscribes to "trust the quote unquote health experts at all cost" school of thought, and he does not have one iota of scrutiny or cost/benefit analysis of what he's being told, in a social context.

He has advertised and telegraphed this for weeks and months leading up to the election.

He alluded to this during the debates, in his comment about "eliminating the virus to save the economy" double speak.

He has reinforced this with the "darkest days are ahead" quip the other day.

I fully expect a massive lock-down and clamping down on public movement, businesses being open and a full on quarantine as soon as the administration enters office. Biden, or more accurately stated his team of handlers, is keen to show how he (they) will handle things differently than Trump, they are fixing to make a big opening statement with this new policy direction.

There's nothing wrong with trusting specialists in the area of their specialty, and there's nothing wrong with doubting them and looking for evidence of what is actually happening. The "anti-science" narrative is as dumb as the "scientific consensus" one.

Biden has billed himself as the savior of the nation from COVID. That's political BS.

There's no basis in Federal law or in the Constitution for such a lock-down ordered from the White House. It will come as it did last time from the States.

Sounds to me like a fast way to get killed ... I'm going to bet the cops give a middle finger to doing that job

I certainly don't agree (not having read the bill and digested it in its entirety yet) that rounding people up in "medical facilities" is the way to go, but we do definitely do need to up our game on contact tracing, notifications, and quarantining at home when there is a threat.

I bet it would be to remove yourself from society and go every man, woman, and child for themselves. And that would be fine with me, if it was only you it affected.

It's sickening how many people are frothing at the mouth over the idea of forcefully tearing families apart. You are part of the problem, you've drawn your line in the sand and squatted on the wrong side. You'd probably turn your neighbors in to the coming "virus" Gestapo for having more than two visitors at once.

It may be mean to say, but I'm cool with New York having failed experiments so my state doesn't get any dumb ideas.

Period. SCOTUS has authorized certain State governments to act in accordance with their own laws in the past regarding emergency situations.

Haven't had a chance to yet, so I can't speak to the bill per se, but I will state again that I am against removing anyone not in dire need of medical attention from their home forcibly and quarantining them elsewhere, whether people can be trusted to self-quarantine or not.

Also, I don't believe we have enough drones.

For those here supporting this type of legislation, I respectfully request you ask yourselves, "what if this bill was in reference to AIDS instead of Covid-19, and these actions were targeted to groups that were know to be spreading that communicable disease (LBGTQ+) "?

I want to to honestly state that you would also support them rounding up those groups in the same manner....and you would not fight that tooth and nail.

The disease does not matter, the solution does. And this solution is just wrong on so many levels.
