What country isn't involved?

This is a misrepresentation. P2 is involved and not the Italian Government proper. This would be like saying that rouge agents in the CIA directly represent the US Government.

I think more people need to understand who and what P2 is.

It occurred in 2016 also, but there was not paper ballot assistance to put Democrats over top with that presidential election.

In the world of political intrigue, is it beyond the realm of possibility, that they found evidence and put it on ice and were/are waiting to cash in that chip later?

I mean hell you open up a can of worms if you cry fraud and it's discovered in the 2016 Election. Much smarter to wait and use it later or even use it in back channel negoiations
