Senator Hawley will object on January 6th.

Hello all... It seems things have taken a turn this morning with Senator Hawley from Missouri stating he will object on January 6th. Now, if one Congressman objects too, like Matt Gaetz, we will then see the objection process play out..

Millions of voters concerned about election integrity deserve to be heard. I will object on January 6 on their behalf.

His statement

This is a developing story, so I will add in more as It comes in, but it seems with Senator Hawley going on record with his objection, we may see some fireworks early in January over in D.C.

How does everyone see this playing out? With objections coming from the House and Senate, what are the next steps in the process?

This is more pointless posturing that people will believe that is going to lead somewhere.

If his constituents have expressed concern then he is doing what he is supposed to do.

How will it play out? Biden has it. There is no way on earth they are going to piss off the clearly violent left to overturn it even if enough evidence is found. They’ll have to let it ride. The least violent side will have to suck it up.

That’s my prophecy. My hope may be entirely different.

Unsure how to say it will play out. This is sorta uncharted territory for recent times at least.. So, maybe it goes nowhere, or maybe there's legs to this. I guess time will tell, but nothing will surprise me anymore.

Anyone with nothing to hide will object... those that don’t want their skeletons seeing the light of day won’t... I’d expect Rand Paul to join in... so far as Senators go that might be it... Sideshow Mitt will object to the objections... McConnell will go back into his shell as usual...

So far as the House goes I could see Dan Crenshaw objecting and maybe a handful of others but not many...

Either way the overwhelming majority of Americans on both sides know the elections are rigged but the cognitive dissonance factor comes into play because even though libs know Bernie got robbed it “couldn’t have possibly happened to Bad Orange Man”...

Over 100+ congressman signed onto the Texas lawsuit that was thrown out by the Supreme court, so there are quite a few that could potentially sign onto this claim and object.. All it takes is one, like Matt Gaetz and then the objection process will begin to play out

If they kneel before the opposition because of threats of violence, burning, and looting then they deserve worse than a short length of rope... these lockdowns and forced facial coverings are only the beginning of the worse yet to come...

No matter what the criminals are going to commit crimes... the longer they’re allowed to get away with them the bolder they’ll become... the bill has come due... it’s time for them to pay for what they’ve done... what they’re doing... and what they intend to do moving forward...

I suppose this could all be theater on the GOPs part to try to save face for not pushing faster/harder for investigations early into the election, but who knows... I guess we will know in short time if this is all political theater or not. Either way, we wont have to wait long to find out... Maybe Josh Hawley believes he has a path. Who knows. But we will find out soon. stay tuned

I absolutely agree. It's wrong to let it ride because they fear a certain segment will revolt. They have been shafting the other segment for quite some time IMO. They count on the fact that they won't make waves because they need to work and make a living for their families. But a time will come when they are tired of trying to do the right thing. Or tired of being punished for doing nothing but keeping their head down.

I don't think it will be a really long time before we see some lone wolves gather together and that's going to be dangerous for everybody.

If fraud is clearly found and clearly ignored... That's treasonous and should be punished as such.

Ah, yes- a short drop and a sudden stop, at the end of a nice, American made rope.

It's only takes one Congressman and one Senator to object, to delay the whole process, tough to say what happens after that.
When they come back together after they split up to meet, what will Pence say when the Senate votes against it and congress votes for it.

I think it's reasonable to assume you will get multiple objections in the Senate and less from the GOP in congress.

January 6, 2021 will be closely watched.
Pence cancelled his trip to Israel he is preparing for a long day.

It's almost frightening to see so much of that talk is becoming common discourse.

The woman from my last OP opines the leadership of the country is quite concerned that the population is about to revolt ... and kill all of them. There are now more guns circulating in America than there are people. Not to mention the knives, and axes, and machetes, and Molotov cocktails, and angry drivers ...

I've thought about this. No one would miss these leaders or their families. And ... we might all be a lot better off ... in a very short span of time. I'm really not happy under all the government's attempts to control where I can go, what I can do, when I can do it, and who I can do it with.

Whether this is all an exercise in futility or not I think the silver lining is the voting process will be heavily looked at and come 2022 will be much better being under the microscope as what we saw with FL who has a good system now that came about from the 2000 debacle. If you do not crate awareness nothing is improved, discovered or fixed.
