It's not new that scientists believe infections can cause mental disorders.

There are studies from the 1990s regarding pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders (PANS). They believe that Strep antibodies cross the blood brain barrier and inflame the basal ganglia. This inflammation leads to things such as Tourettes, OCD and ICDs.

It's possible various autoimmune reactions affect different parts of the brain in different ways.

This is a new virus so we won't know what it's doing to us for years to come.

Yes it's basically the kitchen sink of viruses LOL

here's website that does show hospitalizations

I've used rose geranium to slow my blood pressure when it spikes sometimes, it might be that I just concentrate on slowly breathing but it always helps

I'm surprised I haven't heard that Covid causes global warming.

The plan* is that it's the complete opposite. There are heaps and heaps of stories about how all of the worldwide lockdowns have contributed to LESS CO2 emissions and, therefore, a slowing of AGW.

* - When I use the word plan, I actually mean that there are people in this world who would like to see a population reduction to around 1 billion people or so. Most, if not all of those people, are the super money rich with the capacity to influence what actually happens on this # planet. So expect the plan to continue unabated.

The psychosis has been linked to COVID infection since the beginning. In one NYC ER psychosis was the only symptom and the patients were testing positive for COVID.

Excerpt from the article: “Since the first regional case of COVID-19 infection was reported in New Rochelle, Westchester County, New York, on March 1, 2020, just 11 miles from our medical center, we have encountered in our emergency department (ED) patients who were asymptomatic for COVID-19 physical symptoms but who presented with new-onset psychotic symptoms and who tested positive for COVID-19. The patients had elevated peripheral inflammatory markers, particularly C-reactive protein (CRP), and responded to medical and psychiatric support and modest doses of antipsychotic medication. We describe 3 such cases here and hypothesize a potential neurotropic and/or neuroinflammatory etiology for these new-onset symptoms that warrants further study.”

The first wave, I didnt know one soul who had it. Now....I know a bunch and damn! My bro and sister in law went numb below the waist and he pissed himself.

It's the new version of Covid apparently.

Either way this thing has more symptoms that a Prylosec commercial.

If you look at infection charts, most places never properly had a wave in the first place, so this second spike we've been going through would more properly be the only real wave we've had.

The only reason anyone would call the early days the first wave was because it was new and hit and took root, but compared to the recent spike and when you look at the emerging charts, they all look like one clear wave we're just now mostly all coming down off of ... except Cali who's just getting into theirs.

Hell, I think it's mostly BS but the past couple of days have had a sore throat and chills, better today I do take my zinc, vitamin D, elderberry, and vitamin C fairly regularly though. I am definitely an at-risk person but beyond my BP and Menier's I've been fine as has been my 80-year-old Mom and my 62-year-old sister.

How many bets on people will be labeled psychotic for thinking the 'crisis' is manufactured; that the 'vaccine' is unnecessary? "They were asymptomatic, but now are psychotic..."

You betcha !

The pathologization of dissent was laid-out rather nicely in this linked-thread, by ATS's most underwhelming member :

ATS : Mask-up, and get your Covid-19™ vaccine : or you are a sociopath !!

That was an interesting article; I have to look for studies and read up on the phenomena now. But the first story of the lady who started having delusions and thoughts of killing her children is consistent with the age range in which women typically develop or start to exhibit schizotypal behavior (DSM-V, pgs. 102-104).

Can't read this article because it's behind some kind of subscription wall, but I read somewhere that something like 20% of Wuflu survivors were coming down with some kind of mental problem. I figured that meant that the Wuflu has the effect of improving mental stability because I know damn well that well over 20% of the general population has serious mental problems.

And I ain't bein' facetious!

Oh yeah, your right. Lockdowns are good for the environment I forgot.

At least they moved on from world wars. /sarc

I think most of the people in any given group undiagnosed
or diagnosed and discreet. Are pretty much looney toons.
And this thread presents a chance for them to excuse their
illness in their own minds. That's why the normal people see
a hoax, that if it isn't a hoax? It might just as well have been
a hoax. And most of you are trying to blame a hoax for what
ever psychosis you have. We all know that an education doesn't
mean you're not an idiot. And it damn sure doesn't make you
less of a psychopath either. But ya I think most of who posted
here are wacked. Like you're in a different reality or some
sh#t. There's nothing out there when you go outside! I think
it's hilarious to see all the used covid masks getting blown
every where on a windy day in So Cal. aren't they a bio hazard?

Bunch a wackos mind f#@$%d into performing a voodoo ritual.
That's why the mask!

That's right I said it!

I am almost at the end of my tether with this virus, it's time it did one! Something is clearly not 'normal' with it!

It’s the new ‘normal’ trust me.

It may be that the virus is not directly causing all of these wide ranging syptoms-but it could be making people more susceptible to stuff they already had waiting, but was triggered by the damage caused by covid.
Once your immune system takes a big hit, pretty much anything can go wrong I guess.

I agree, it is looking more like the way AIDS /HIV works where it brings down your immune system and re-activates some or all other viruses that are dormant in the body. This would explain the large variation of symptoms and severity and that people with less nutrition / poor immune systems seem to suffer more.

The @Davos Disease, aka COVID-19 enters cells via ACE2 receptors, which are concentrated in various bodily symptoms.

The virus affects the ability of the blood to transport oxygen, and also causes (can cause) bradykinin dysregulation. These effect alone can account for many of the "strange" symptoms.

The medical field needs to catch up - it seems they're moving at a snail's pace in figuring this out. Lightning speed getting first-ever mRNA vaccines into people's bodies, but TERRIBLY slow with understanding the mechanisms of the disease and appropriate, effective treatments.

Everything from disease to natural events to voting to weather is now a "weapon" to force society to conform to someone's version of utopia.

Covid is the same. Ever since the first cases it's obvious that there is an agenda. The list of symptoms they're handing out changes daily because it fits an agenda to force people to conform. Simple as that.

Agree. I’d say that the changing symptoms are a result in part of learning, disinfo spreading and very small sample sets.

It’s a great mechanism to force compliance, however. And that’s all it is.

Whole new take on the placebo effect.
