Fauci approved $14 million in funds for the lab in Wuhan to do gain of function research on bat coronaviruses even after Congress had explicitly shut down said research in the US forbidding it. He has a direct connection to the creation of this nasty virus and like the old saying goes "keep your friends close, your enemies closer'.

The nation's highest profile Medical Expert during the CoronaVirus-19 Pandemic has been Dr. Anthony Fauci. Fauci is Director of the National Institute of Health (NIH), under the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) department.

To put it mildly, he has been "controversial" in his advice and guidance during this Covid-19 pandemic. There are even large differences between what he has said this year, compared to prior years.

On Christmas-eve last week, Dr. Fauci became fed up with Americans ignoring his warnings of doom, and accusing him of giving conflicting, inconsistent advice. So he "came clean" during a New York Times interview:

In an interview last week with The New York Times, Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted something that many have suspected for some time; The media-anointed, all-knowing guru of COVID has been fudging the truth, in order to encourage what he views as better behavior from the American people.

Put simply, Fauci has been acting less like a public official and more like a parent keeping certain truths from his children.

This quote, which has been rightfully making the rounds, really tells the whole tale. Asked why he changed his mind about how much vaccination would result in herd immunity, Fauci said,

“When polls said only about half of all Americans would take a vaccine, I was saying herd immunity would take 70 to 75 percent … Then, when newer surveys said 60 percent or more would take it, I thought, ‘I can nudge this up a bit,’ so I went to 80, 85.

We need to have some humility here …. We really don’t know what the real number is. I think the real range is somewhere between 70 to 90 percent. But, I’m not going to say 90 percent.”

Upon Fauci's admission of lying to Americans, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio lit into him:

Back in march he stated what he did about masks because for one there was insufficient mask supply. Even with that, healthcare providers had a hard time securing a mask supply and he wasn't going to make that situation worse. He also thought the American people were responsible enough to keep distance and limit spread until the mask supply was resolved. But alas he was wrong, the American people instead acted like spoiled little children putting their own wants ahead of what was best for the community as whole.

Here's the thing -- that's what you get told by the media.

The spread is because people just won't do what we say, but do they actually prove it aside from showing you case numbers and declaring it to be true?

It is true that people here complain long and bitterly about the mandates and rules, but have we actually proved that we run around hugging total strangers, coughing and sneezing on them or letting them do the same all while going sans masks? Or do you just assume it because that's the only explanation you will accept and besides the press/experts all say so ... you know, the same people who've been lying to you the whole time and then explaining that they were really right or just couldn't admit the truth because you were too stupid to handle it?

Think about it.

I follow the mandate because it's what I have to do, and I know most of the other complainers here who think they're a crock of crap do likewise, and we all reliably report that everyone in our areas pretty well wears the stupid face diapers.
