We have finally found an agreement. It was a long and winding road but we have got a good deal to show for it” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen says "it is fair, it is a balanced deal and it is the right and responsible thing to do

So a 5 year transition period, instead of the 13 years the EU wanted..
I am not clear if that means we are still subject to EU laws throughout that 5 years, but it certainly sounds better than 13 years.
If the deal means we regain our sovereignty, and have once again the power to change those in control of our decision making through the democratic(voting)process, then Boris has done what he said he wanted.
If the EU are still able to make laws which we must follow through their legal process, and which we can not change no matter who we vote for in the UK,then Boris has not got what he said he wanted.
All I wanted as a brexit supporter was to be able to hold the people who make our laws accountable at the ballot box.
Something we were unable to do under the EU system.
It was never about the fishing/immigration for me,but about having a vote which could actually change things, and to have those laws made by our own government rather than the suits in Brussels.
Because, whatever anyone trys to tell you-without that power in our own hands,we were not living in a democracy.

Seems that way. Sounds good but let's wait for the detail.
No gloom and doom so far.

If that is true, then we have not fully left.
Time will tell I guess.
The deal is not perfect but it is a big moment.
This victory is a tribute to the ordinary men and women who stood up against the Westminster establishment — and won.
There is no going back.

We still abide by international and national laws.
Therefore there'll be no extraditions or refusal of refugee status if the individuals can be assumed to be at risk.
This applies to prosecutions we would deem severe, unjust or barbaric. So terrorists aren't going anywhere since we cannot guarantee they'd receive a fair trial or humane treatment.
I'm fairly sure our extradition process is based on dual law, as in they could be prosecuted in either nation on similar laws with similar punishments.
The Downing Street spokesperson said, however, that the agreement would guarantee that the UK was “no longer in the lunar pull of the EU, we are not bound by EU rules, there is no role for the European court of justice and all of our key red lines about returning sovereignty have been achieved.”
