As long as he isn't racist and genuinely cares about the public and his country, I don't see a problem.

Yes it's a good question. Everything (exaggeration acknowledged) seems racist these days, it's meaning now morphed with being prejudice.

The difference I'm aware of is racism is against people of colour, and the unequal rights and distributed power, and generally the poor treatment they recieve (inc brutality)

Whereas prejudism is a biased/one sided idea about a particular group that forces a false social status, and also inflicts brutality.

Something like that anyway. So I suppose I can see why the 2 may have morphed, but they should remain separate entities imo.

You can be prejudice without being racist. Prejudice about games, about thoughts, about whiskey or whisky, about ideas, about jobs and pay, about weather, about religion, about firearms, about conspiracy theories, about tide pods, about weed, about this and that. You can even be prejudice about racism.

Somehow, they (we know who "they" are, we see it everyday) have put prejudice in a bundle package called racism.

Even "they", I am prejudice against. This is not racism.

Are your friends under age or 'special needs', for you to have to worry about them so much?

As someone who works in the HR world I have seen my fair share of people been denied/fired from jobs due to issues that come during interviews and/or background checks.

Best advice: keep social media clean, tell him to avoid been cited, arrested, charged with any crime.

Maybe you should mind your own business. The only problem here is you trying to mind someone else's.
