The Electoral College results will be affirmed by Congress on January 6.

Joe Biden will be inaugurated on January 20.

There will be no declarations of martial law, no military tribunals, no public executions and no election redos.

Things will continue in this country much as they have for the last century or so.

I hope you’re right and think this same way too. However, if they try to prosecute Trump (I don’t think they will) that could lead to a lot of rebellions and outbreaks across the country. That’s where I think our society will draw a line

The minute he leaves office, a lot of civil cases become active. Here's nine of them

There will likely be others, including ones from contractors he's defaulted on. New York's investigation is likely to hit first. Federal prosecution is less likely -- but even if he gives himself immunity, that's only from federal crimes. Kushner, Ivanka, Don Jr and Eric are also likely to have lawsuits filed against them.

The most likely cases were discussed in this Bloomberg article which, again, says that federal cases may be more problematic. The most likely scenario is that personal lawsuits against him will go forward by women who say he sexually assaulted them as well as the one by his niece. The MLM (multlevel marketing) one is another likely case.

New cases will emerge, I'm sure.

If the courts can force him to testify, that will go strongly in the prosecution's favor. He doesn't stay on track with his remarks, and when he's aggrieved he doesn't answer properly. Prosecutors know this and will line up to have him show up and speak.

So it won't be big dramatic cases. He'll simply be whittled down by the little problems (including potential problems with turning Mar-A-Lago into both a club and his permanent home, which looks like another emerging fight)

Frankly, I don't see MillionMAGA marches being set up over Stormy Daniels or Mary Trump or Palm Beach residency laws, y'know?

Fair enough.

As a side-note, if the actual proof of massive voter fraud ever shows up, I will whole-heartedly admit I was mistaken.

I thought the defamation case was thrown out as well as the alleged rape case.

None of the others are crimes that will land Trump in prison. Ever.

Meanwhile, back on topic.... I can't seem to find the thread now, but there was one saying that Vice President Pence would be leaving the country after January 6th. Maybe it's a safety measure after what he might do on January 6th in relation to who gets elected President of the United States? I could see a lot of these Looney Lefties out there going for blood if their guy doesn't get in. That might put the VP's life at risk. It's something to think about. Maybe the current administration knows something we don't and that's why the VP is going to be "incommunicado" after the 6th?

But, you will just like the Hilary folks who moved on after their butt stopped hurting. They accepted (not all of course) Trump and moved on. Those that did move on really wanted Trump to succeed. Why wouldn't you? a reply to: CharlesT

Another plan that utilizes VP Mike Pence has been uncovered..

Sources in the Trump administration confirmed to National File that President Donald Trump’s most vocal advocates within the White House have determined that both U.S. Code and the Constitution contain language that requires Vice President Mike Pence to reject unlawful Electoral College certificates, but Pence must act by no later than Wednesday, December 23rd.
See the White House memo here: nationalfile.com...

Keep America great? I don't remember it ever being so divisive with so much stress, anger and violence, than it has been over the past 4 years. Time to move on bud. Trump cares nothing about you or this country and will absolutely let it burn with you in it, because come January 20th he won't be in the WH or in this country. If he is he'll have to answer to all of his criminal activities over the years. People that support him will have to live with knowing they supported a criminal to run our country.. into the dirt.

Maybe you should stay in bed for the next four years. Leaving the house could cause a traumatic reassessment of your world view.

It's everything to do with what you posted.

You are obviously terrified of a political boogieman and even more scared of changing your mind.

If you can't grow at least a small pair, you're going to spend the next four years soiling yourself.

Let me know if you need that explained in shorter words.

The next President 'could' be chosen by Mike Pence.

The next President 'could' be The Great Gazoo, from the Flintstones.

The next President will definitely be Biden though, dumdums

I'd suggest it's more likely that the Proud Boys and other pretend wannabe 1776 types will be sobbing aggressively at pence for not overturning the Democratic will of the American people as they expected.

No, the Vice President does not have the authority to reject anything.

See US Constitution Article II, and the Electoral Counting Act.

See Article 4 Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution...

...
Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
...

constitution.congress.gov...

Do you see anything in there that says "every state shall guarantee a socialist/communist form of government?... NO... But people like you want to ignore, and even get rid of parts of the Constitution while claiming you are in favor of the U.S. Constitution when it's clear you are not... You just use the parts of it that help your socialist dictatorial dreams while you completely ignore the rest...

Also 5-6 states decided to ignore their own laws and the U.S. Constitution which states all ballots, including mail-in ballots have to be counted by 8pm on November 3rd. Only the legislature of those states or Congress can change election rules and laws. Yet in 5-6 states they decided to make the changes with progressive local authorities and a judge, or two, all of whom are not the legislature of those states...

Every vote counted after 8pm November 3rd is ILLEGAL... But again you leftists/never-Trumpers can't even differentiate "illegal/criminal with law abiding..."

Court Says Michigan Cannot Count Ballots Received After Election Day

TRUMP IS OUR PRESIDENT AGAIN!!!

You are a fool if you think Trump will remain is office.

The people have voted, the states certified the votes. Biden won and will be sworn in on January 20th, the only thing that will stop this would be an untimely death, then Harris would be in.

It has been discussed how Representatives and Senators can challenge the electors of a state. While it is likely Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania's votes will be challenged, this will result In both the House and Senate voting, with a majority of both needed for said votes to be challenged. This will not happen.

At the end of the day, you want the guy with over 7 million less votes to be President. That in insanity!

Where do people come up with this stuff? *NO* state had completed an official canvass of all results by 8pm on the 3rd. Heck, even Texas allows counting military ballots received up to 6 days after Election Day (they don’t even have to be postmarked by Election Day).
