Advanced problem solving. Improving communities with corrective policies and adaptations is but a small subset of that larger category.

That's what I thought. Like you do here on ATS.

No. Like writing a recommendation to the Board of Directors of the hospital to purchase some high end commercial washer and driers rather than the heavy duty ones replaced every 3-5 years. Then getting every department head to sign off on it as a general fund purchase instead of putting it all on housekeeping as they normally did by doing a cost analysis of services to their department from July to end of year as the equipment would drain the housekeeping budget versus costing their department nothing for signing.

The final takeaway was that I was just filling in for my boss. I still made rounds in their their areas as security, dealing with drunk and violent patients by responding as fast as I could.

Some people flex about how they will kick their ass if they don’t do something, I just inferred that I might be slower to respond to people getting their asses kicked. But then again I am good about working people’s fears against them. Like making a guy throwing punches in the air change to following me around like a whimpering puppy just by asking a couple key questions and then walking away saying my job here was done.

I'd hazard a guess that the age of aquarius takes place around the year 2150.

Not long at all in astronomical terms.

If the age of aquarius truly is about harmony and understanding than either we are slowly building up to that way of thinking naturally, right now or something big happens that suddenly changes us.

Hi I am an astrologer and can address this.

"the upcoming conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn is supposed to signify the actual Age of Aquarius."

Kind of. There is dispute about the "age of Aquarius" but what is really happening is that Jupiter and Saturn will be conjunct on Dec 21st in the sign of Aquarius (which is an AIR sign) and even though Jupiter and Saturn conjunct every 20 years they haven't met in an Aquarius (or any other AIR sign) since the 1405.

"why would we go from the Age of Pieces to Aquarius on the day that you would be born a Sagittarius instead of a Capricorn?"

On Dec 21st the Sun will move into Capricorn but the conjunction is between Jupiter and Saturn.

"why would people be excited about a chaotic change into slavery under intolerant social justice warriors?"

Not sure how to address this except that Aquarius is ruled both by Uranus and Saturn. Uranus likes to do things that are unexpected and enlightening, fast change all at once. Uranus is progressive. Saturn like to do things slowly and methodically and doesn't like change, Saturn likes to restrict, Saturn is conservative.

Stay with me lol.

Jupiter expands things and Saturn likes to put rules on things. When these planets were conjunct in EARTH signs like we saw in 1980 and 2000 we saw our society put more rules and regulations on practical matters and material things. Now that Jupiter and Saturn are moving into Aquarius we will most likely see the rules applied to social media and pursuits of the mind. Aquarius is the sign of groups and organizations so we will see massive change in how we do things as a society.

Saturn brings structure to while there may be short lived chaos - this won't last long. Aquarius is an AIR sign which means it does things in a social way, Saturn brings justice and Jupiter is hopeful so most Astrologers think the worst is behind us. Nothing is actually going to happen (at least dramatically) on the 21st, it is basically just signaling a new era.

The 1400s brought us the Renaissance and Christopher Columbus so most Astrologers think we will see the same sort of expansion (Jupiter) with the internet and possibly space travel.

The general consensus seems to be that the "Age of Aquarius" won't start until the 2100s.
And yet, there are those who say it began some time ago. In any case, if it does happen on a specific date it would be on an equinox.

Definitive details on the astrological ages are lacking, and consequently most details available about the astrological ages are disputed. The 20th century British astrologer Charles Carter stated that

It is probable that there is no branch of Astrology upon which more nonsense has been poured forth than the doctrine of the precession of the equinoxes.[7]

You should get some sort of award for using Wikipedia as a definitive source, Phage.

To be honest, the only loose connection I had was Ganymede who was the Trojan swept up by Zeus to be the water bearer slave, Aquarius, which is also a moon of Jupiter (Roman equivalent to Zeus).

Thank you.

Did any astrologers predict the covid19 pandemic? It seems that such a world wide event/panic would have been written in the planets and stars, tarot cards and the entrails of chickens like the backwater superstitious heathens use.

For such a momentous event to occur, wouldn't every halfassed soothsayer be screaming the warnings.

Even the hightech predictive analytics & modeling with their fancy algorithms fell flat on their ass.

See those number thingies in the quote? Those are what is known as footnotes. They lead to original sources.

Where is your source?

Actually there was something in January 2020 about a Saturn and Pluto conjunction in Capricorn that was supposed to be global chaos.

Here it is but I heard all kinds of doom and gloom. Only thing that caught my attention was the Capricorn part for obvious reasons.

And for those wondering...heavy cloud cover.

We could be in a 10 year drought and if Betelgeuse blows, we’d have clouds until it was gone.

Perhaps Nostradamus had it in his ancient quatrains.... But it's still open to interpretation.

"There will be a twin year (2020) from which will arise a queen (corona) who will come from the east (China) and will spread a plague (virus)in the darkness of night, on a country with 7 hills (Italy) and will transform the twilight of men into dust (death), to destroy, and ruin the world."

A better question would be why Astrology?

I still remember when Carl Sagan tested it by having many of the leading astrologists do a reading, and none of them agreed with each other. Seems to me its random guesses based on whatever is going on in the astrologers head that day. It's hardly more than entertainment, it's not a science by any stretch of the imagination.

Sagan quotes....

“If our lives are controlled by a set of traffic signals in the sky, why try to change anything?”

Good question here. Astrology assumes our lives are preordained.

“[Horoscopes] are consciously designed to be so vague that they could apply to anybody.”

He was politely pointing out that astrologers are like other carnival sideshow acts, like palm reading, crystal ball reading and feeling bumps on your head. It takes advantage of peoples naivety as a way to get inside their wallets.

“Astrologers cannot even agree among themselves what a given horoscope means.”

Of course, they can't. It's not a science and its whatever the astrologer thinks will keep the money coming in from their predictions. No matter how it's viewed by a rational person, its just another confidence game.

This is a fundamental misrepresentation of what Astrology is what Astrologer do and say.

"I still remember when Carl Sagan tested it by having many of the leading astrologists do a reading, and none of them agreed with each other. Seems to me its random guesses based on whatever is going on in the astrologers head that day. It's hardly more than entertainment, it's not a science by any stretch of the imagination."

Most Astrologers don't claim that astrology is a science, it is an interpretative art so yes you are going to get a lot of different opinions. Most Astrologers do not claim that the planets and stars make you do things or make you act a certain way or cause events to happen. Most Astrologers say that there is a correlation between what is going on in the sky with what is happening on Earth. Astrology measures the quality of time.

"Astrology assumes our lives are preordained."
No this is false. You always have free will. What Astrology really says (for example) is that from March to May of 2021 in your specific life is a really good time to start a new business or get married or whatever, June through July will not be the best time for to start a new business or get married, etc. This doesn't mean that you HAVE to do these things - Astrology just tells you how the quality of time will be in a certain period in your life.

" It's not a science and its whatever the astrologer thinks will keep the money coming in from their predictions. No matter how it's viewed by a rational person, its just another confidence game."

Again - Most Astrologers do not claim that Astrology is scientific. Again - Most Astrologers do not make predictions in the way you are thinking of. Good Astrologers will never say for certain whether "something will happen".

I know this seems crazy to the "rational person" but over the last 5 years that I have been giving Astrology readings (for free) I've been consistently amazed with how useful Astrology can be.

Most Astrologers do not predict events. And 2020 has long been talked about by Astrologers as a momentous year of change.

That's taking the easy way out. Any numbnutz can see that without looking at the stars. It's on TV and all over the interwebs, even ATS.

Astrologers did not predict a pandemic. In that respect they were dead right. What they did predict was major geopolitical changes.

The devastation is not the pandemic but the lockdowns. The last times we had such configuration of planets was the first and second world war. In terms of world economy, the lockdown has been having the same worlwide financial effects and devastations.

I am grateful no bombs are exploding but deplore the loss of our freedom during lockdown.
