I am familiar with horses, my father at one point had a couple Tennessee Walkers and was a big player in the wef/wep in Wellington Fl. I love horses almost like I love doggies. I wasn't sure that was what you were talking about with dressage.

Just wait until the crazy French judge gets it wrong and there's international outrage.

That's probably a real inside joke within me and myself.

Nah, there's always one judge who hates on the competitors. That's why they throw out lowest score and highest score.

Didn't work a few years ago.

Le Gougne became known for her role in the 2002 Olympic Winter Games figure skating scandal. Although four other judges also placed Yelena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze ahead of the crowd favorites Jamie Salé and David Pelletier in the pairs free skating, Le Gougne was immediately singled out for suspicion by television commentators and other observers. When she returned to the officials' hotel after the competition, she was confronted in the lobby by Sally Stapleford, then the chair of the Technical Committee, who began to question her about her judging of the event. Le Gougne broke down in a tearful outburst that was witnessed by a number of other skating officials who happened to be present in the hotel lobby. She said that she had been pressured by the head of the French federation, Didier Gailhaguet, to put the Russians first as part of a deal to give the ice dancing gold to the French ice dance team. She repeated these statements in the judges' post-event review meeting the following day, but in the following days and weeks, she issued a number of contradictory statements and retractions. She later stated that she had truly believed the Russian pair deserved to win and had been pressured to say the Canadians were better. Both Le Gougne and Gailhaguet were eventually suspended from the sport for three years by the International Skating Union, which never made any serious investigation into the events.

Can't make this junk up.

I am not sure exactly what you mean? Flatland BMX and breakdance have a few things in common mainly including a very uncanny self awareness in balance and technical movement. When I was young I used to admire those guys even though I was a dirt and park guy.

I was heavy into BMX racing in the 80s / 90s.

The progression flatland and dirt jumping disciplines have made since then is pretty insane. I think the dirt jumpers / street riders have a death wish personally. The balance of flatlanders is pretty amazing considering most of these guys don't even use brakes anymore.

I was happy to see racing make it to the Olympics finally. However, the Olympic track is a bit over the top / extreme as far as BMX is concerned. However, I guess you need massive jumps and high speed to wow the spectators. The silver medalist from 2012 I think paralyzed himself in a crash practicing to put things in perspective.

I know, what they do today is very incredible. goes to show what has been learned before can be improved on over and over and over again, then the machine gets better and then the people use these and get better and better and better.

Those dance moves are going to have to get super acrobatic before I can respect this as an olympic sport.

More athletic than mopping the floor I hope..😅

Curling takes its own set of skills. Go out there and try mopping the ice just right to get those stones to go where you need them to in the way you need them to.

I make it a habit not to diss other people's sports, but then, I've tried a good many of them myself and can appreciate that things that may look easy generally aren't in practice.

The woman in the center looks like the goal with her mouth open and no helmet on? I know the other wimmins aren't wearing helmets either but they are also not wearing skates therefore I am confused about what game they are playing? Silly Wimmins.
