Domain name expires on May 18. There is a 5 day grace period for owners to pay the bill. If by May 23 the bill isn't paid and the domain name stays expired, then godaddy can pull the plug.

All speculation based on that information.

After a while, you get a sense of which members to pay attention to.

Many of the posts in the various forums are drivel, but thankfully threads that are also drivel usually die a quick death or are killed by those that support the nonsense.

ATS Darwinism at it's finest. It's one of things I really like about this place.

The other scenario that may play out is if the domain is set to auto-renew and the credit card on file is still valid, it will simply auto-renew and continue blissfully along. That's how I had mine set-up back in the day.

I'm not sure about the site hosting fees or when that would bill.

Speaking of which, does anyone know where the site is hosted? I think I saw some information on that in another thread a few months ago. A hosting center/company in NY I think?

Two scenarions why auto-renew with credit card would not work.

The credit card owner is dead ( the card get`s deleted )
The credit card owner is Russian ( Russians can't use western credit cards anymore because the war )

Imagine spending 8+ hours a day, attempting to make a forum respectable, only to have some poopy head preteen douche bags, crap all over your nice clean floor and act like they did you a favor.

That, is what being a moderator here is like.
Rodney Dangerfield said it best, "can't get no respect".

Why, because the tween poopy head douchebag toddlers are crapping all over the floor, not realizing they, are the damn problem.

Want to see relaxed moderator staff, stop being a douchebag and show some respect, to the posters and community in general.

We have TOS for a reason, follow it and all is well.

Its a new site which has ATS members who joined whilst ATS was down a few months ago after it was attacked, simple as...

I don't think any of the 3 Amigos have been on in the last year and none of the Mods have spoken to any 'owner' so to speak since ownership changed hands.
This was obvious after the attack and problems logging in. If it hadn't been for Mods like DontTreadOnMe ATS would have sank then.

You didn't answer the question tho. Not that you are obliged to but since you are responding to me..... who created that site and who is paying for that one. I mean ATS is supposedly going down due to lack of finances yet someone can pay for that one that has the same mods and members. Strange.

I think it was a former ATS member who created Deny-Ignorance. When ATS went down and nobody could log on, many members went looking for somewhere new (discord was one) and is how I heard of Deny-Ignorance, Someone's quick thinking and willingness to create a site got them many members looking for their conspiracy fix.

ATS is failing because no one knows who the new owner is (read the first few posts to this thread) and so can't be contacted and the GoDaddy agreement finishes in a month.

Some of us long term members messaged each other about other sites on Discord and via private email.
