The point I'm making is the UK government is successfully using it as a negotiating asset to greater value then it is

You have it the wrong way around.

It is The EU who are bringing Fishing Rights into the trade negotiations. Access to a nations territorial waters has never been part of any trade deal. Until The EU came along and demanded it.

Yes because the European fishing industries are demanding it due to potential economic effect, its a totally economic factor? But that's my point why are they bringing up such a insignificant area. Something that could scupper a deal.

The UK media has been harping on about this from the start. Its nothing new. 'Well gain back control of our fishing rights, we'll expanding UK fishing once again' etc.

The UK is using this as a big Carrot.

If we get a deal, they'll have access and we'll have used it as the giant carrot on the end of the stick that it is.

They probably thought that OUR waters were THERE waters and got a shock when they realized that the area they have been OVER fishing is NOT there's at all, also the EU want to make the UK back down or to make an example of us since if we are a success that set's a ticking time bomb under brussels and more and more European nations such as Italy and next Spain will then likely break ties with the block and follow us making there own trade deals with us and Norway and perhaps even forming a competing and far more fair block of European nations not owned by the Troika.

Once were free we no longer have to hamstring our own industry's just so that other EU nations can compete, we will be able to invest in our nation, subsidise our industry's if necessary and return to the international stage as our own nation and not the EU Lapdog we had been turned into.

Just wish we would send all those rabies filled rats that got here through the chunnel back over to France were the came from.

Frances other worry is that they have had a free hand letting migrant's come here over the channel while taking our money for doing absolutely nothing to stop them, now we are going to be patrolling our waters and investing in high technology security systems to monitor every single vessel in our waters so they will no longer be able to get away with that and instead we will simply send the blighters (Whom are NOT refugees though it is only right that we should accept our fair share of GENUINE refugees and these are not that at all but economic migrants) back to them, they have been breaking the LAW by not sending them back to the first member state they entered whom are responsible for them and instead letting them set up tent camp's, harass our truck drivers even with knives and done sod all about it.

Well you know, like the minority of fishing industries we have in places like Cornwall and Devon. Deprived areas, I can understand why the European equivalents are scared of losing the rights and loss of jobs. But lets make it clear, they wont be losing anything, they just have to fish under our rules not the EU's. But its confusing making a mountain out of mole hill. People seem to get very passionate about fishing.

My theory is because you centuries old industries, areas famous for fishing, heritage, pride. These are already failing sectors and along comes Covid and Brexit aiming the asteroid right at them. Multiple nations complaining how its going to effect them. Got to be seen as doing something.

Well that's a different subject. Personally I think we have a responsibility. Like the Americans say in the refugee camps they run, its not there job to police the world and if we don't do anything to help they just release them into the wild. They go to Europe not USA. You get involved in these countries you have to foot some of the responsibility.

They estimate around 67 Million people in the UK, we'll know a better figure at the coming census but lets take some of the bloated estimates of 1 million unauthorised immigrants in the UK, that also covers asylum seekers waiting. That's 1% of the population. Its such a moot point, so insignificant. Not to mention these unauthorised people cant even claim anything. Tend to be hard working and contribute to the economy.

For me its not a big issue and one that will become less relevant with Brexit.

It sound's awful what I said and as the old saying goes walk a mile in there shoes.

But they are really just coming here looking for a mystical unicorn at the end of a rainbow, a unicorn that does not exist, a pot of gold they will only find by becoming criminal in some way and the only one's really getting anything out of all this human migration are the people smugglers whom are getting very rich indeed.

The cold harsh truth is this, the young, strong and talented using there whiles to get here are betraying there homelands were they could be using those same whiles to build up, repair and fix there own home nations.

The refugees (any GENUINE Refugees for that matter) from war torn nations on the other hand are another matter, I get were they are coming from, indeed our Lord himself was a refugee escaping into Egypt to get away from the baby murderers.

I don't know any of those people personally so it is all too easy to fall into typecasting all of them and yes I know that each and every life is a human life, a story often of suffering and escaping from poverty and misery.

But our nation can not absorb so many in such a short time without being irrevocably changed, ethnically turned into THERE nation and in the end since a cake is made up of the ingredients that go into it that will end up with out future nation when they are the majority becoming just as bad as the nations they have escaped.

And also it is not My or YOUR nations to give away by saying to them come in, rather it rightly belongs to our children and our forefathers whom fought and died for it and THEM would see the action of allowing those people to TAKE what they had given there lives for as a betrayal and a desecration which in fact it is.

IF they shared our culture, our belief's and our morality then fine, they do not.
