We see so much "talk" here about things like "Bug Out Bags", and "off grid living", but does anyone here actually do any of these things???

"Oh Man...I gotta bee like THIS guy!!! He's COOL!~!~!~

The power went out once for a couple days, that was me living off the grid. I loved it so much I bought a generator.

I can't answer your question because then I'd have to kill you.

Seriously, though.... I live in a small town (sounds like a John Mellencamp song....) in Southern Illinois and up north in Chicago, they all think I live in the boonies and that I'm a hick. I've got news for them - I'm no redneck hick.

The wife and I live in the country, about three miles from town. We have a bug out bags in the cars with cutters insect repellent in them. There is a tow rope in the bag too, just in case you come across a VW Bug in the ditch.

The only reason we would leave our house if if we had a forest fire coming close, I would hook up the trailer and fill it up if we had to leave.

Anyone that actually does, wouldn’t likely be the type to lay it all out on conspiracy website.

Lol or, they might just be crazy enough to do it🤷‍♀️

Social media really did a number on society... just sayin 🤣

When did the little red banner on top of the page that says this website if for sale go on there?

I plan to retire that way in my late 40's early 50's

And yes I do it sometimes. To test if I can.
Longest trip was 5 weeks. Alone. Very little supplies. No tent. No water.

That last recent hurricane that hit the gulf coast.
I slept outside on my back porch. No walls. All screened in.
6 days without power.

Was exciting.

I actually just ordered a gigantic massive 42"x20"x20" bag (this one, to be specific). I plan to basically keep everything I need in it and ready to go in case I ever have to evacuate my apartment for some reason. If there's a fire or something, I'll be able to just pick it up and run out the door. I currently live on the third floor of a crappy old apartment complex where the fear is real, so having the ability to just leave with everything I need within seconds will help.
I'd love to live completely off grid someday.

It's a dream...

If I didn't have a wife and kids, I absolutely would be out in the boonies. Probably a one or two room cabin.

I used to have b.o.b’s, and plenty of gear ready to go for all in my family when we lived closer to the city.

That was then, but in our current location, I simply can’t envision a scenario where it would be better to bug out, rather than bug in.
God help us all if the day comes we need to bug out, because I can’t figure out a better place to go.
