Looks like the Jedi Hypnosis tricks aren't working so well anymore.

Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Roy Blunt (R-MO) were joined by House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) in blocking the motion, a move that effectively denied acknowledging that Biden is the President-elect.

Democrats are beside themselves after a Senate resolution to recognize Joe Biden as the real president-elect failed to pass. The Inaugural Committee voted down a resolution by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) on Tuesday naming Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden president-elect, with all three Republican members voting against it.

Then they'll have to attack this as well.

Which they won't.

www.cnn.com...

It's always a surprise, and temporarily refreshing, to see some solidarity amongst the chaos and betrayal as of late.

I'm hoping they are privy to something we are not.

Too late... the post above you beat you to the punch.

Such a profound hatred for Trump..... or a profound love for China?.... or both.

Speaking of China, when Trump takes the Oval Office for a second term, I hear sweet and sour sauce goes well with crow, it helps alleviate the bitter taste.

I couldn't find much about your question because apparently it's not a common resolution.

The Democrats are trying to flim-flam the Republicans into admitting on the record that Biden is the President-elect.

"Democrats surprised Republicans because such a resolution is not typically adopted by the committee but a Democratic aide told CNN the resolution was proposed in order to put Republicans on the record on whether Biden is President-elect."

The Republicans are holding out until ALL legal challenges are exhausted, which makes sense.

ETA: (Perhaps someone can fix the link I provided, I've tried all I know and I'm over it. Sorry.)

Dems remind me of a football team that KNOWS they just had a play called wrong by the refs in their favor, so they run up to the line and try to snap the ball as fast as they can, before the refs blow the whistle for review, so the bad call stands.

Democrats reap what they sow.

I don't think anyone much loved Trump, not even Republicans, but Democrats seriously shouldn't have expected to spend four years on their guerilla warfare all over the country so blatantly and not expect pushback. I also think the election is seriously doubted in more quarters then just low level hickdom whether those minds want it overturned or not.

The country is in dire economic straights, and these finks are spending legislative resources on this manner of garbage.

This is an official part of the electoral process.

Yes it is.

Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies

I think my point was more in the vein of, since we're in the midst of a global pandemic that has shuttered an estimated 40% of US small businesses, and any/all large social gatherings (e.g. inauguration celebration) have been shunned for months, that our benevolent leaders might play along with their own narrative.
