What?
www.youtube.com...

You can find it as you manually did, but they have a nasty algorithm that makes sure undesired channels are buried and Flat Earthers are on that list.

It's a shame really. YouTube has gotten a lot less fun with that algorithm. I used to love all the weirdness that would crop up in my recommended videos. Now it's a bunch of random K-Pop and Billie Eilish.

Phage called it BS, but I posted a good Wired article on it, good read. Personally I think anything legal should be allowed and untouched I really do not care whether I am for it or not or even if it is correct, but YouTube and Twitter etc thinks we need to be treated like school kids where we can only handle a butter knife at best.

It's such a shame.

The leftists who run the site can't handle fun, so they assume none of the rest of us can. I miss the random doom porn it used to send my way. And I'd be willing to bet that's why ATS is less interesting than it used to be -- so much less doom to go around because our tech overlords think we can't handle it.

To clarify, I am referring to the algorithm and practices of YouTube, not ATS. They're always ready to let good doom porn roll.

At last, some good news in sight.
Psychic and certified medium Linda Willow Roberts predicts 2021 to be mostly peaceful.

How was she at predicting Covid in the first place and all the craziness that went along with that?

I'm much less likely to listen to a prognosticator who completely failed to predict this little thing that affected the whole world. And just rubbing one's temples and declaring that "a great illness will sweep the land" is not good enough. Last year half the Internet was predicting a zombie apocalypse or an asteroid strike. So that don't count.

It's less interesting because it turned into a nasty political echo chamber and crowded all the cool human interest stories about UFOs and creatures and time shifts out. It's slowly returning to normal, but the smell still lingers.

How many of us predict the queen will die every year now, and she hasn't yet. We're getting closer though. One of her dogs did die.

“Certified medium?” How does one certify a medium?

I got a certificate from an Internet site years ago saying I was an ordained minister. And it was completely legit, because there is no official national or international ordination process. But I don't call myself "Reverend Blue Shift," even though I totally could, because I don't like to put on airs.

So maybe she got it from someplace like that.

That one one got me...especially using standard units for acceleration instead of the metric system. Well done.

All the places that tipped me off to interesting alternative stuff got shunted off on sites like YouTube. I don't see them anymore in my feed.

YouTube thinks they are not worth my time to know about or too dangerous like Flat Earth which surely was entertaining.

I definitely would listen more to somebody who predicted something completely out of left field than something obvious. Something that would get big points in the old Dead Pool. Miley Cyrus dying as opposed to Keith Richards, for instance. And I want details. Not just asteroid, crazy stock market year, old famous person dies, ferry capsizes and kills hundreds, lousy football team wins championship, etc.

Yeah, I don't know why YouTube decided they would be the arbiter of what is legitimate and what isn't and demonetize the paranormal channels. I used to kind of like the Mars anomaly videos -- until I guess they got too close to the TRUTH!

Meh, predicting a Miley Virus death isn't that big a stretch ... now going out on a limb for someone like Chris Pratt ...

She cheats... She and others in power get their transfusions of children's blood. I think appendages will start to fall off before she passes away.

Agreed. Big Dead Pool points there. Miley Cyrus might be a little too easy to guess. Entertainment industry people in general are at a higher risk from anything from drugs to plane crashes. Politicians can be assassinated.

But hey, I suppose if predicting the future was easy everybody would be doing it. I get synchronicities if I work at it a little, but I've never been able to use those for predictive purposes. It's all ex post facto. Just entertainment.

I could predict that Florida Man will do something crazy, but that's a given. How about I narrow it down a bit and aim for Rhode Island Man?

Well, the past year and the pandemic has kind of shifted our priorities to what really matters. There has been a break on materialism (part of it due to lock downs and part due to job losses and financial realignment) and we have come to cherish and value people and relationships around us. Probably a step in the right direction towards collective existence rather than individualism. I would say a shift from "earning to spend more" towards "earning to live".
