The first episode had the alien ships just coming down above major cities and the entire underside of the ship was a screen. They turn on the screen and what looks like a human women speaks to the entire planet.

I think alien visitation would be a lot more like that.

It was built as a basketball arena. It flooded about a year after opening because they built it too close to a river. It was abandoned for years. Pro Bass Shop moved in. They don't use the bottom floor just in case. It was on one of those engineering mistakes shows.
