Honey and Google shopping will track price changes over time on specific items.

If I'm paying over 500 for something and am not in a rush to get it, I'll set a price alert near the low over the last 6~ months. Once I get the alert I pounce.

If you see a real recognizable brand, there's a good chance you can find it on the manufacturers website, search a coupon code own Google, get it cheaper and still in two days.


The other problem with Amazon and especially recognizable brands, is that there is a lot of counterfeits, or outlet type of products. Better to get it straight from the source!

Every time I go to Amazon to buy something important their prices are way over priced. Now Ink for my Bother MFC can't beat the price. But bike parts and other stuff I would not go to amazon for my first search.
