Where did I "snob" Aussies in my post? Don't dislike Australians, that couldn't be farther from the truth. And where did I write that the content of your thread is invalid? Again, the opposite of what I really wrote ("important news" were my exact words)

May I point something out real quick that I can already see happening? You can clearly see that the media is already starting to label people that do not want to take the vaccine the second it comes out as "anti-vaxxers". I for one am not an anti-vaxxer, I have all of my shots (I let my rabies shot lapse) and I certainly believe in their use. I firmly believe in immunizations but I am allowed to have some reservations about taking a vaccine for a virus that I have a 99.9% chance of surviving. Especially when the vaccine has not been tested in the long term. I can already see them laying the groundwork, it starts by labeling people that just may have a few concerns as "anti vaxxers".

A major international airline makes vaccines compulsory. You even state yourself it will be cloned.

They'll make it mandatory, even if it isn't law...just corporations acting on their own...

Exactly. I have vaccinations that most don't due to my international travel, then again these are tried and true vaccinations that have been proven over years and the side effects are known. The side effects of a Covid vaccine, long term, are not known. This is why I will not be first in line to take the shot/patch/spray/etc. that they try and distribute.

That sounds like anti-vaxxer talk!!! Just kidding. I don't think there is anything wrong with people having some reservations about this vaccine. To start labeling them/us as something they're not is disturbing. Eventually the media will make the label more mainstream so people that don't get this vaccine will be labeled as "kooks". "You don't want to be one of those kooky science deniers do you? Get the vaccine".

It's going to be mandatory for a lot of things. After mid-December, no nursing home admittance, or visitation, unless your vaccinated.

There going to have a hard time convincing most to take a untested vaccine

Buisnesses think they can force u bye refusal of service will quickly find out someone will provide that service no vaccine required

Its about time the airline industry really takes a hit I hope none survive and something better takes its place

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be a non-negotiable condition of international air travel, according to the Qantas CEO Alan Joyce.

Anti-vaxxers will be grounded in the brave new world, with Mr Joyce confirming vaccination will be a requirement to fly internationally.

Mr Joyce has repeatedly warned that international air travel won’t resume until there’s a vaccine available for staff and travelers, but on Monday night he went a step further, telling A Current Affair host Tracy Grimshaw that as soon as a vaccine becomes available it will be a condition of travel.

“For international travelers, we will ask people to have a vaccination before they get on the aircraft,’’ he said.

“Certainly, for international visitors coming out and people leaving the country we think that’s a necessity.”
