So what will become of this? Will all California voters finally come to there senses or are the payout freebies way to much to overcome. I mean why do people vote for people like them.

Gavin Newsom, after admitting that he joined several other couples at a birthday dinner less than two weeks ago, or members of the California Legislature currently enjoying a trip to Hawaii while schmoozing with interest groups that may have underwritten the cost of the event. In both cases, the personal decisions of the elected officials involved gave the impression that their privilege led them to believe they are immune to the pandemic, ignoring the safety precautions they have asked Californians to take.

According to Gavin Newsome, in California, the film industry and it various support staff cons titute "essential personnel".

Right up there with firemen, police, EMTs. That's exactly whom I think of as essential personnel: best grip, best grip assistant, chief set designer. Look, I don't have anything against the film industry and supporting workers, they should have right to earn a living like everyone else. But California's government is just utterly hypocritical at every turn; nothing they do or say makes any sense.

Also, listen to the apology this wanker submitted for his hypocritical actions in dining out at a private function as a new wave of lock-downs is rippling across the country:

“While our family followed the restaurant’s health protocols and took safety precautions, we should have modeled better behavior and not joined the dinner,” Newsom said in a statement to the San Francisco Chronicle.

There's photos floating around of their party. Nobody was wearing a mask and there was lots of laughing and loud talking. The restaurant had to close some sliding doors because of it.

The person who scares me the most is that Barbara Ferrer. How can she be the public health director of LA County when she looks sick as hell. Why not just hire someone else who looks healthy, and more motivated.

Kevin Eckery, a public affairs strategist, says:

Eckery said that it’s unlikely any of the legislators will face reproach from those who elected them. Still, he noted, the idea of a swanky getaway, far from the prying eyes of their constituents, “plays into an institutional cynicism” about the Legislature.

Sounds like alls good for these hypocrite politicians; the people of California like it when their elected officials act this way as long as they apologize afterwards.

Entertainment industry = essential, but teachers are not when we know kids barely get this and hardly pass it on too. Most teachers who get COVID get it outside their school buildings.

I believe COVID is a serious public health matter, but at this point...is there any denying that it has manifested as one of the most effective tools of policy manipulation and public control in recorded human history? This is at the point where the biggest story is not the death and illness the disease has rendered on the populace, which don't get me wrong, is substantial, but the level of governmental overreach and tyranny to which the people of many nations have been subjected.

How can a public official disseminate recommendations for the public to refrain from holding inter-family gatherings, and then if the gatherings are absolutely necessary, to avoid singing/talking loudly at private family gatherings, but then turn around and attend a 50 year old man's birthday celebration at a tony Napa valley restaurant?

Meanwhile in Plebeville USA this spring, how many children's' birthday parties were cancelled, celebratory gatherings nixed, and the eventts reduced to caravans of drive-by cars honking their horns?

I've said since the beginning that if it were the serious threat they want us to believe it is, you wouldn't see hide nor hair of any of the so-called elites in public with or without mask. They'd be bunkered up.

EXACTLY. If COVID were as threatening as advertised in MSM, the elite would've have bugged out to their concrete hovels. The fact that Gavin Newsom is still circulating in a public setting should tell you all you need to know about his level of concern for the pandemic.

Just wait until January when Bunker Joe takes the reins and everything gets locked down tighter than a drum.
