It appears that they have now filed affidavits that their votes are rescinded and they were bullied. Not sure about this source, but the story isn't a surprise to me.

I don't know how their laws work in MI, but I'm not sure they have takesy backsies on election certification. It's probably going to just end up as fodder in another lawsuit or two unless there is a legal way to reverse their vote to certify.

You are spot-on. Good to see Republicans in Michigan grow a backbone!

The GOP refusal was rather brief.

Anyhoo the POTUS that lost the votus is still entrenched in the White House.

Oh, what to do Donald, oh what to???

Edit: Looks to be not be certified again apparently two Wayne canvassers are trying to rescind vote certification.

In dramatic reversal, Wayne County election board Republicans rescind votes certifying results

the two GOP members of Wayne County's election board signed affidavits Wednesday night alleging they were bullied and misled into approving election results in Michigan's largest metropolis and do not believe the votes should be certified until serious irregularities in Detroit votes are resolved.

My understanding is they changed their voice vote, but still refused to actually sign the documents .

So, their vote was never official.

Adults whose livelihoods and children were being threatened. Think back to Kavanaugh.

Breaking

President Trump's reelection campaign said Thursday that it is dropping a lawsuit challenging voting results in Michigan, which show Democrat Joe Biden narrowly carrying the battleground state.

“This morning we are withdrawing our lawsuit in Michigan," Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal attorney, said in a statement.

Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, said the decision to rescind the lawsuit is the "direct result of achieving the relief we sought: to stop the election in Wayne County from being prematurely certified before residents can be assured that every legal vote has been counted and every illegal vote has not been counted."

Maybe just maybe Trump is making some head way in all this .

I still cant see how this can work out so he wins without courts over turning the election its self .
And if it comes to courts I cant see them Reversing the voting and saying Trump wins .
I for one was NOt happy with the whole fl recounts after recount and hanging chads and courts declaring Bush won .

One thing is and Both party's should be on board for is just holding the office until a NEW election could take place .
while I don't like Nancy she would do little more then sit until this could be sorted out .

But I understand its either Trump or Biden and no matter if both sides bring it all down that will remine the way .
Military can stop any fighting in the streets BUt of 70 million people form both sides refuse to accept the other as president then its the people will and when this country collapses that will be as well .

If it came down to collapse or Trump I would pick Trump if it came down to collapse or Biden i would pick Biden .
Most people here are picking total collapse is not enough knowing trump could run in 2024 its not enough knowing it would only be 4 years then done .

Well poster here think this country will become commie and they are granting it will by both sides creating this .
Funny thing is Trump no longer even wants the job .

Why did Kavanaugh first admit to being a sexual predator because he was being bullied than retract his admission later?

I agree anyone either side going after people like that should be investigated and if it calls for it prosecuted.

No reason for that kind of behavior.

Let me help you here:

"Why, did Kavanaugh first admit to being a sexual predator because he was being bullied *then* retract his admission later?"

Fixed that for you. You're welcome.

Next, that's a strawman question and you should know it. When I said to 'think back to Kavanaugh,' it was in reference to the nature of the attacks against him and his family. It was not for any validity to the claims, any more _than_ the claims of racism against the GOP state reps were valid.

Kavanaugh was driven to fight against the attacks made against him. He was on the national stage and knew he had powerful people in his corner to support him, and of course the accusations were without merit. These GOP reps had no such support at the time so it's understandable they would buckle to local political pressure. Once their story entered the national conversation and they received more support (and likely took steps to protect their family) then they found some more courage.
