To be better and do better for each other

I would say partly and add this to the end of the above...

“...as long as it benefits me and mine”

That’s the world we live in, unfortunately.

this reply will go off topic a bit, but you said the above.

the person "Trump" is irrelevant. Just a guy who sits in a particular chair. Happens to be a dick with an orange hue. Meh.

But his policies and more importantly why he implemented them are what some voted for. Ending stupid wars, bringing back manufacturing to the US. neither of those benefit Trump today. maybe make a few folks smile, but the results of those will be long term good things. More manufacturing in the US brings more jobs, better living standards, less reliance on imports of things we may really need. the last guy threw in the towel about an hour before the bell rung. And ending the needless wars may just leave us with a few more 20 something kids with 2 arms AND 2 leggs! We could have jobs for them and all kinds of junk.

So I fully get that some just don't like Trump. And they voted that way. It's my belief that some of those folks were caught up in the moment, and didn't really think through the bigger picture. They were a bit selfish and made a rash decision based on feelz and not facts. I may be wrong on that. But the beauty of living here, is I can have that belief, and you or others can not agree and voice that as well.

You think I’m free stars and flags? If I wanted that I would have made a “Trump wins!” thread.

There’s more to life than meaningless internet points.

Sure. With somewhere around 100% voter turn out. But hey not the topic.

Well, by all pre election day tallies and projections using given numbers at the time.

But you have admitted in previous posts to being a low info voter and possessing little interest in learning more.

How do you really know what you're voting for?

Defeatist

More of a realist

It doesn't look good for any of us in this country right now

Same can be said for lots of countries tbh.

I think we can get through this
Oh definitely. The world will carry on turning, people will carry on just fine

And it’s 109% your right to believe that. Wether or not it’s true? Who knows. Maybe?

But then there are a large amount of people who disagreed so much that they voted for Not Trump.

Don’t put your words in my mouth.

I’m quite capable of learning whatever when I feel the need.

My focus was to get rid of Trump — because he was ignorant and lacked qualifications (knowledge/experience) to be in the position of President of the USA.

Uhh... I think everyone on this site can validate what I said. You have admitted to being a low info voter. If I had noting better to do I would sift through your hundreds of posts to find it...

Maybe you don't remember, but you really outed yourself a week or two ago.

This isn’t directed at Annee, but I can use it as a good example.

Let’s run with this sentence.

How do you really know what you're voting for?

Not Trump. Some people don’t care, know or aren’t interested in who they’re voting FOR because it’s about who they’re voting against.

That’s my whole point. And I even believe that some would have voted Not Trump even if it meant money was to be scrapped and the whole world lived in Willy Wonkers factory.

For those who say “Biden couldn’t have won because he didn’t have a big turnout” and similar phrases, you’re looking at this election and the votes all wrong.

This presidential election was NEVER about R v D or Trump v Biden. It was always Trump v Trump.

A lot of people didn’t vote for Biden because of his policies, because he’s honest or even because he’s the best candidate. A lot of people voted for him because he’s NOT Trump.

Just look at the country and how divided it is as a whole, then look at the voting numbers. Not quite 50/50, but it does reflect on hour the USA is at the moment.

So this was never about Biden being better or more popular, it was about people not wanting Trump.

I think you’re the ones looking at this wrong. There is no way joe got more votes than Obama. The cheating was done out in the open. You guys keep saying there’s no evidence, when people have proved mathematical laws were broken (meaning it’s impossible) in only the states that changed their laws last second illegally.

So no, no we are not looking at it wrong.

Seems to me an uneducated protest vote is a little irresponsible.

I believe there is a phrase for this...

"Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" is an idiomatic expression for an avoidable error in which something good is eliminated when trying to get rid of something bad, or in other words, rejecting the favorable along with the unfavorable.

Joys of living in a country where people are allowed to vote any way they wish.

A vote for Not Trump is still a legal vote.

100% agree this wasn’t just people voting for Biden it was also people voting against trump.

And some people forget it just don’t understand it. Even though there was massive movements on places like twitter that said they were voting for Biden because they don’t want Trump to serve a 2nd term.

and were there any folks who were disgusted by the actions of the DNC? #walkaway

remember, this isn't disagreeing with you, but showing you there are two sides.

I 100% agree with you.

There are definitely people who voted for Trump in the same way, not because they supported Trump but because they were voting against Biden. I personally know people in America who voted for Trump and told me that they reason they done it was not because they liked or supported Trump but because they feared what a Biden administration would mean for corporate tax.

What I am saying is that it seems that more people took the opposite view and voted for Biden not because the liked or supported Biden but just because they didn't want another four years of Trump for whatever reason. Trump is a very unpopular president and with such a massive turn out I think its a fair conclusion to say that lots of people voted not for Biden but against Trump.

Don’t forget Dr Jo. If I remember right, most amount of 3rd party votes?

Maybe the OP should have been “Trump v Not Trump v Biden v Not Biden”.

Apparently if Jo hadn't run and Trump got all of her votes he would have won.

Side 3 possibility. Election FUBARED. Trump releases the Durham report in all it's Democrat slamming glory. Then he appoints special prosecutors to go after all the criminals mentioned in the report.

List of major Democrats indited.

Obama
Hillary
The Bidens. Both Joe and Hunter.
And a bunch of misc. government workers, FBI, and Democrats that supported the Russiagate investigations.

The states consider their options and then reelect Trump through either the Electoral College or having the election thrown to the House. Because? Biden would be unfit for office with felony charges hanging over his head. And the possibility of being the first President having his jail cell serve as his office.
