Good lord. The coverage just happened to scan across two people at the exact time they just happened to be proclaiming that Trump is resigning tonight? What are the chances of that????

Gosh, that doesn’t seem planned at all!

They think we are really, REALLY stupid. And some of us are. The reason we are where we are is because half of the country has lazily and disgustingly given over their responsibility to think for themselves to #cking TV PEOPLE.

How incredibly lame is that?! So #ckimg lame.

I hope Pence pardons all the Trump voters, too. I don't want to be tried as an accomplice.

Well according to AOC we'll all be on a list, being locked up is the next logical step.

As long as the medical care is free and we get good gruel I'll be happy.

Many Democrats aren't very smart and so they probably think that is how it works.

That, and they have surrendered, like they have done with every other normal responsibility of a functioning human, their responsibility to think for themselves. Easier to let TV people tell them what they think.

Well we would have to have a crime commited to pardon first. Asking if he was pardoned would that make me view him differently isn't really answerable. The opinion of him would be based on what the charges would be and what evidence is levied against him. Also why would he resign?

Uh. Okay. Not seeing how this would work outside of Fantasyland.

You need to be convicted of something first to be pardoned of it. He hasn't been convicted anywhere other than the court of public opinion, nor of anything other than being an unmitigated mouthy jackass, AFAIK.

None of those are charges of any crimes. Where are the charges? I just see articles by MSM. That’s not credible, reliable sources. Besides, no charges.

Why are you spreading disinformation?

When it's all said and done, that's what I expect him to do, resign. He can't concede, he can't cordially work with Joe Biden's transition team, he can't do a meet and greet with Joe and Jill. He's just not capable.

This way, Mike Pence can pardon him and his family, and Mike Pence can say that he was President of the United States, even if was only for a couple of months.

Weird. Almost sounds like a middle ground sort of comment. Almost like you sus... never mind.

You can’t indict a sitting President.

He will be free game come February.

He didn’t commit any crimes. You have to commit a crime in order to be charged with one.

No you can impeach him though...but that didn't hold water and now all this time later we find out there was evidence to indicate he was right that the FBI had on hand.

Are Liberals going to be upset when Trump gets the same punishment for his crimes as Hillary Clinton got for hers?

Its all political threater; there is no incentive for the Biden administration nor the liberal state AG to continue to go after Trump once he is out of office. In fact there are huge disincentives; it costs a lot of government cheese to prosecute people with deep pockets and you run the risk of demystifying your redirect when your target beats the charges.

Trump will ride off into the sunset and the Biden administration will be happy to see him go no matter how guilty Trump may be.

You got to realize something Politicians use people who feverishly type on message boards about how all their political enemies will soon be in jail, they aren't one of those people.

You don’t know that. Actually, it appears he has.

Whether or not they’re chargeable crimes remains to be seen.

But, he will no longer have the protection of being President.

Not true.

A presidential pardon is a right granted to the President of the United States by the U.S. Constitution to forgive a person for a crime, or to excuse a person convicted of a crime from punishment.

www.thoughtco.com...

The president has the power to pardon someone before they're arrested and even before they go to court.

AOC is a clown, I don't really think she hold much sway with core establishment Dems. I don't think what she suggests is legal either.

As for the OP, I highly doubt it. The pardon thing too, is nonsense.

Has it ever happened ?
Not to my knowledge.
My question would be , why pardon anyone that has not even been indicted yet ?

Denying ignorance.
Why ?
It is now running rampant all over ATS with the usual suspects.

I believe impeachment proceedings can be implemented again. Impeachment is only the process to bring charges.

Mueller said the investigation should continue, he was not done.

As if you actually know anything. You said so yourself that you were a low info voter that doesn't want to learn about anyone. Why do you even post your empty garb on a site where educated debate is made? Your fancy one-liners are much more suited to post in the low info echo repeat sites.

The motto of the site is to Deny Ignorance which means to educate oneself.

If the goal of the left was to alienate more than 50 percent of the country and mostly taxpayers they have accomplished that. Not sure how that bodes for the country by treating the bread providers of the country as if they don't matter. Lots of animous this time around and rural America the farmers, minors and small-town businesses are left without a voice and are being attacked by the entire left. Not sure what they plan to eat if they think we don't matter.
