President Donald Trump on Monday morning announced that there will be “big news” in Pennsylvania as he challenges the election results in the commonwealth.

“Big news coming out of Pennsylvania,” Trump wrote, without elaborating. “Very big illegal ballot drop that cannot be accounted for. Rigged Election!”

It’s not clear if the president was referring to the appeal that his campaign filed on Sunday in the U.S. Supreme Court, previously revealed information by third parties, or a new development. The Epoch Times reached out to Trump’s campaign for comment, but hasn’t yet received a response.

Trump’s campaign’s case (pdf) is attempting to reverse three cases decided by the state’s Supreme Court that “illegally changed” the mail-in ballot laws “immediately before and after the 2020 presidential election.” The lawyers contended that the Supreme Court’s decisions are in violation of Article II of the Constitution and the 2000 Bush v. Gore ruling.

Vote totals indicate that Biden won 306 electoral votes to President Trump's 232, and the popular vote tally shows the former vice president leading by about 7 million votes. Congressional leadership in both chambers has signaled a reluctance to intervene in the process. Democrats, who retained a narrow majority in the House, are unlikely to support the bid by virtue of their partisanship. In the Republican-controlled Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell dissuaded his colleagues from joining Trump's efforts. Meadows's office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Byrne said the next day, Sidney Powell called White Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and asked for an “office” and a security “badge.” But the White House staff denied her requests, and when she visited the White House “yesterday,” they “basically kicked her out,” Byrne said.
