Nerdling you should automatically be registered to vote, i was when i turned 18. The government should have done it for you, so no need to get pissed
i voted for the first time in the European elections
I hate Labour. I've withdrawn all support, I won't be volunteering for them and now I will be actively campaigning to dethrone our local Labour Member of Parliament.
That is after I ambush him tomorrow with a group of friends at his surgery... Details tomorrow.

So now, I am disqualified from voting in an election that has not been called.
There was no mention of this "deadline" in the press or anywhere else, it snuck up and passed and now many first time voters (who are likely to vote against Labour) are unable to vote.

But isn't it funny how they were advertising about it on the TV for the last so many months though, hmmm?

I thought I was automatically registered also but I called the local Electoral Register office and it appears that i'm not on the roll.
I've talked to many of my friends about this, none of them are on the roll either.
