I have no issue with anyone choosing to or not to celebrate any given holiday. It doesn’t hurt my feelings.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. And I realize that sounds off to a lot Christians. But I think it’s roots are what call to me. I’ve always been enamored with the old religions- and I think CS Lewis had it correct when he said that there were precursors to Christianity in the Pagan beliefs. I think there is a lot that was thrown out with the bath water, when the early church fathers decided they knew “what was best”. I also have a unique way that I view the Old Testament, which influences a lot of what I believe. That being said, I don’t expect anyone to accept what I believe as their own. Actually I think most Bible thumpers believe I’m heretical and going to hell. To which I would recommend them read (as mentioned earlier) The Formation of Hell...

I must agree with you. Much of what organized religion says for people to believe is wrong or distorted. One must dig deeper into the past to understand the true meaning of most accepted beliefs.

Do I still have time to make a covid costume. Oooh scary.

Precursors to Christianity. Haaaaa.

In the beginning GOD. Not Zod....

Get it through your heads, if you celebrate this holiday, you celebrate evil and it's machinations. It's really that simple. Dressing as monsters that eat people? Kill? Maim and destroy, yeah wholesome.....

Give me a break, the veil really is getting thin.

As much as I have had a couple of chuckles out your responses, Celts God Dagda is a representation of other gods in the same mould through known history like, Geb, Cronus, Saturn
Satan, Pan etc

Even though you appear to be a Christian, you believe in older more powerful religions? All you are speaking of is the doctrine of the organized religion. The origin of much of this doctrine is pagan.

Do you dress up for your worship services ? That is pagan. Do you have a tall pointy thing on top of your church? That is pagan. Do you have a Christmas tree at Christmas? That is pagan. Do you allow your children to hunt Easter eggs? That is pagan.

A lot of what the modern churches teach you is what they adapted and adopted from the pagans. They thought the pagans would accept the new ways if they were like what they already knew as far as practices and times of the year.

All organized religion is man made. There are some good lessons in parts of it but much is made up to control you.

I was always confused how Christians still believed their narrative is correct when it is clear all holidays and stories seem to come from other sources, or they all revolve around the seasons as a coincidence. I'm Protestant according to my birth certificate, which is apt cause I protest even that.

Im looking to illuminate my tree, but have never put Xmas decorations up as I've never felt inclined to.

The biggest problem is that most people are afraid to look beyond the one book and what they are told it means. I know some Christians that do not read most of the Bible and only know what they were told it says. They are afraid of what they will find about where it came from and how it came to be.

I don't have a problem finding out new things, well old things in this case, about what made parts of the world the way it is now. If what I was always taught is entirely wrong, I can live with that and learn from it. Most people would just deny it and continue as they always have.

Halloween is for the most part an excuse to party. The scary part is the people that think an offering of candy will turn someone evil.

Come to the dark side, we have cookies. Chocolate chip cookies.

Satan is not a god nor was ever described as a god, it's a rather recent Christian invention.

But he taught us so much in those days after his awakening... Kidding I have no clue what the teachings were in those days, maybe that's when he healed lepers for a food source or something.

I can't wait until Christmas, so I can sit on some old man lap, whose name almost spelled out like Satan an tell him, to tell Jesus how much of a bad, bad boy I've been on his birthday.

The veil won't be thick enough when someone see mommy doing Santa. Someone going to need some serious therapy when he came down, but yet went up her chimney, that probably all dusty an moldy from the years of neglect.

Saying, "Ho, Ho, HooooOO!" and using her like a one horse open sleigh, where it called the spirit of giving...yet she taking Santa whole bag of gifts l.

Well he did rise from the dead, didn't he!?!?
Oh no, does that mean that Christianity is based around a zombie cult?

Tonight one of the holiest nights for evil. Human sacrifices will occur tonight and also on 1 Nov.

It is sick to see how many mock this pagan holy day as a joke.

Halloween has become a large celebration in USA BUT not around the world. Party on Behemoth

The greatest trick Satan ever pulled on mankind was convincing humans he does not exist.

I see the bible thumping kooks aren't disappointing this year, though slow to the standard feigned outrage. I'll give 'em a pass on tardiness, it being 2020 & all.
