I think there is more of a chance they are going to throw trump to the wolves and denouce the laptop contents or dismiss it since Hunter and Joe didn't have any intentions to sell out the US while taking in Millions from China.

This is the same FBI and DOJ that hasn't found any wrong doing with anyone of importance and only has gone after the whistleblowers like wikileaks,Assange,Guccifer, Seth rich and let the one guy who could bring the whole system down die under their watch.

Especially since the FBI supposedly had the information for almost a year.

That is my guess. "Our forensics investigations show that the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop were altered after the laptop was dropped off for repair. We are opening an investigation into the chain of command which led to this occurrence. Subpoenas have issued to Rudy Gulliani and other participants in this act of sabotage."
