I think this whole little and incomplete dialogue is taken out of context. If I’m not mistaking, the girl asks: “why haven’t we been back to the moon in such a long time?” To which Buzz answers: (after stating that it should be his question and not that of an eight year old)“because we didn’t” To me that sounded like a short answer for “because we didn’t go back to the moon in such a long time”.

I’m not arguing whether they went to the moon or not, but I am sure Buzz wasn’t saying that “we” did not go to the moon at all.

Although, I'm still curious about his parsing and phrasing, the whole context of the video doesn't disclaim that we went to the Moon.
We did go to the Moon and Buzz describes it here, intimately.

one question No one ask WHY is it so important to any one to say Humans did not go to the Moon why does that matter so Much ?

Is It because Your afraid Of THE UNKNOWN ? Humans have going to the Moon and many rovers and unmanned ships are there now .
if that scares you how would you handle it is aliens really did land on the white house lawn ?
Its people like that who make it so governments want to keep aliens secret .

Any thing is possible if we want it bad enough ONE day not to long form now IF humans can coem to peace the first interstellar ship will leave our solar system .

It is NOT a Question OF IF human's can DO it But when humans will do it .
