I said the figures were inverted from the table on the CDC website. (Scroll way down on the page.)

I linked you the page, and a miniature of that table is shown in the image I used in the OP. See that white and teal table on the bottom right corner? That's from the CDC website and it shows the mortality rate. This is on the CDC page I linked you. Someone inverted those numbers to show the survival rate and made a new chart (I didn't make the chart.)

We already know that people 30 years and younger have higher risk with the normal flu than with COVID-19. No one debates this, SO OPEN THE SCHOOLS!!

Does anyone on the left have any idea of how bad it is to keep schools closed? In OR alone there are 15,000 kids who are homeless and get all their food, medical, oversite, clothing etc etc from their schools, most have disappeared into the wood work now. Zoom is horrible to teach, kids are NOT learning 1/2 don't even attend, Colleges are reaping big money for classes the kids will need to retake due to how bad they are now.

Economically what does 2 working parents do when their kids are not in school anymore...A lot of kids raising kids now as the parents still need to work. Its not good....

I disagree.. It will turn into any other seasonal flu as we get herd immunity. Even on mutations we are still way better off than when it was a nuevo virus.

The sliver lining in all this is the massive focus on it we will see huge gains in understanding how to fight a flu. We are seeing decades of advances in a year. We saw this with HIV too. Back in the 80s HIV was a death sentence and since then just our basic understanding of the immune system is vastly better on the order of magnitude within a very small window of time that never would have happen if HIV didn't come along.

What we are seeing now is if that killer 70% death rate virus comes along we will be in a much better position to survive it.

The article says CDC reported 9210 American deaths directly from Covid-19 and.................

153,504 with 1,2 or 3 co-mobitities or related diseases.

Massive fraud by the numbers for political purposes is sickening and yes deadly to Americans.

Using the OP as a starting point, I traced that chart to the source data from the CDC. To be sure it was accurate, I downloaded the data and generated my own chart from that raw data in Excel.

The telling part of this chart is the yellow line representing the "Laboratory-Confirmed COVID-19-associated hospitalization rate per 100,000". Note the end, the most recent data from the last 2 weeks. Sure is looking good....isn't it? Seems to me we've past the second wave and are now in the final stages of this thing. This data shows we should be, as a nation, seriously considering opening up the economy more in localities with the lower rates locally.

This is what you're looking for. If you take the inverse of the figures in scenario 5, that is where the new chart is derived from. Again, I did not make the new chart and I'm not sure what its original source is.

It seems that we are seeing a much lower death rate than even a few months ago as the medical field has learned better ways to fight it outside of using a vaccine or other drugs. It is being reported that these newer technics are reducing death by 70%+, so it is hard right now to suggest what is a good 1 death per 100,000 as we are much better keeping people off ventilators which seems to have been a death sentence.

Its not 1%. Its .01 percent. So tens times under your number.


As to the OP one must also remember that some 33% Covid deaths are bogus as one can die from falling.down the stairs, but if they tested positive.....SCORE IT!
