The moderator clearly fielded some of the more difficult questions. All Joe had to do was plug his ears, close his eyes and say "That's not true. That's not true," and wait for rescue.

Exactly, they got their 2 minutes and then when it was time to have a discussion and Trump started calling him on his lies and flip flops, Wallace gets tagged in to interrupt and change the conversation. Rinse and repeat for 2 hours.

I’d totally be down to vote for Jo Jorgensen, but the left kicked Tulsi out and now I have to vote Trump again. As soon as the Democrats stop putting up these insane Socialist candidates, I’ll be back to Middleoftheroad. Until then all hope is lost and I’d assume a lot think the same way from what I’ve read on this site. Everyone thinks we’re all Trump fans but in reality we’re just anti socialists.

From an outsider/European, here´s my view on the debate.

The Trump vs Biden presidential debate is just the TV camera filming what goes on everywhere and every day in a deeply political divided US.

If the debate was poisonous I blame the left which has been bashing the opinion of right voters for years; calling the right evil and racist etc, every bad thing the left did was "fake news" and not reported on by a clearly left-biased US media - at one point the right had enough and now they are in full war mode. The left took a big part in creating the divide which they now have to deal with.

I don’t support Tulsi and wouldn’t vote for her. I’d just feel safer voting 3rd party without a nut job with 47 years of failures as the guy to win if I voted 3rd party.

Previous WHO president, Gro Harlem Brundtland, call Trump "Stupid" when interviewed after the debate, taking the typical moral high ground that socialist does and saying "it´s not possible for the president in a world leading country to act this stupid" - who knew a socialist globalists would react this way, lol.

Trump can say whatever he wants at the debate for all I care. Through his actions he has shown to put his country first before anything else. And he has been successful doing so.

He doesn't need to impress at a debate especially not alongside the likes of Biden.

Biden was lying so much and while he usually forgets his lines this time he was so hopped up on uppers he had this goofball euphoria about him most of the time.

Biden struggled with some replies but Wallace intervened when Joe appeared to be floundering.

That being said, I think Trump could've given us more of a show.

He was too serious "debating" a lost cause like Biden.

It wasnt a debate! It was supposed to have been a debate, but, lol... you could have a more productive discussion with a 7 year old! Watch the thing and decide for yourself who was acting like the 5 year old, undisciplined brat!

annie and others defending biden and attacking trump are a real world example of the bully on "a christmas story".

in that film (for those who may not have seen it and to remind those who have) there was a bully (with his friend providing moral support) that picked on the main character , his brother and the kids (in school and the neighborhood) .
he would mock, taunt, assault, steal and harrass them with no mercy.

finally the main character ralph lost it and beat the snot out of him (btw a boy much bigger and stronger than he) .

a beating that by any standard was well deserved if not overdue.

the bully who had no mercy suddenly turned into a sniffling crying (pardon my french) bitch and ran to the adults to wine/complain how he was beaten. how he was treated unfairly, ect ect ect.
trying (and to sum success) to get ralph punished..

now stay with me here.

the same in spades is here with trump and biden.

the democrats from DAY ONE of his presidency have accused him of sexual assault and harrassment, russian colusion , tax crimes, racist, and phobias of all type.

have clearly twisted his words, LIED ABOUT WHAT HE SAID, make up things he said, ect.

the "friend" of the media not only egging it on but siding with im and truth be damned.

hell even had a special council and impeachment... both of which FAILED spectaculary due to the FACTS.

the only court case (remember stormy danials) that ACTUALLY WAS FILED he WON. Won so great and showed the charge was so BS danials had TO PAY TRUMPS LEGAL FEES.

this does not even include the attacks on his family .

biden has made accusations though this campain to this point the same way and issues.

biden out of the gate (and first) interupted trump and though the whole debate again with the lies, false statements, ect.

trump had enough and called him out on it.

a "debate" beating that also is well deserved if not overdue... to be fair and accurate he has not been silent until this point but this was a full both barrel response.

now biden and his supporters (be media, democrats, and here on ATS) go running to complain how "unfairly" he was treated and how bad trump was for doing this.

just like the bully here (and to be accurate anywhere) you choose to attack, you choose to do what you do and now when someone stands up to you you run crying , wining and complaining how you were treated.

what is worse for you in this case more than the movie, more than other bullies is THE FACTS show he was right

maybe not the "high ground" but YOU CHOOSE THIS BATTLEFIELD AND USED THIS TACTICS..

dont then complain when it backfires and turned on you
Especially WHEN TRUMP IS RIGHT.

oh your right they were from day one having all the republicans planning a impeachment...

oh wait that didnt happen.

they had massive protests of republicans claiming they were not legally elected president..
with some wearning female body parts on their heads, naked and screaming, with hollywood actresses calling for attacks on the WH, and one even holding a severed bloody head ..

oh wait that was against trump.

they had the main stream media outlets (all but fox) claiming unnamed sources accusations were true, 80 percent or more stories negative, posting every accustation made, calling them names, unpresidential and calling for impeachment..

oh wait that was trump again..

they all were accused unjustly of sexual crimes ..

oh wait that was trump

clinton was charged with and found guilty of some and lost his law license because of it.

all has special procecutors find valid charges and recomended impeachment.

oh wait that was clinton again..

trump (to refresh your memory) he did not recomend charging trump but said it was "up to congress" .
to which the impeachment WAS NOT ABOUT THAT

I could go on and make your statement look even more ignorant, fact lacking and partisan drivel , but that would be piling on..

I'm not American and I don't have a say who's going to be president but I made the decision to watch the debate at 2am anyway, and I have no regrets watching the whole thing. comedy gold😂

In my opinion America needs to change, and the way that's going to happen is for someone other than Trump to take presidency. While I agree Trump is more likely than Biden to push things get things done, I believe it's everyday citizens who take a country forward, not the government, which could've acted fast but didn't.

Most of the global problems could partly be avoided, covid-19 and Sea ice melting etc, claimed to be fake news by Trump, are being pushed aside because it takes EFFORT, and I sit here scratching my head in disgust because the potential for America to do something great about it, by collaborating together to create solutions to these problems is being p*ssed away for another time, for the next generation to deal with.

Maybe under new leadership, American citizens(most of you) will be more united and some of those ridiculous policies like abortion being illegal and unlimited emissions can disappear too.

If I had the choice to vote my decision was made already well before the debate, I like neither Clinton or Biden but Trump is the less presidential of the 3.

They're likely to mute the other speakers microphone during the next debate so this time Trump won't be able to make an aSS of himself.

To be fair, that also describes me and "you know who" any time we argue.
