I tried once before in a cancer thread and got the crap beaten out of me on ATS about me being a quack, not a doctor, not a specialist, not anyone that knows anything about cancer.

My wife is still alive, from a cancer with a 100% ten year mortality rate, with her sarcoma surgeon telling us that what happened "was not possible."

I know more now about cancer then he does, then her oncologist does.

I know that because now they call me to ask the questions when it could help one of their family members.

I'm happy for anyone who manages to cure their cancer by re-aligning their chakras, decalcifying their pineal gland or whatever snake oil is flavour of the month. When they outnumber the dead people who relied on that I might consider it as an option.

For starters, the thread is about a treatment being investigated by the medical/scientific community or at least it was until it was highjacked.

Second, people at the end of their rope don't have the luxury of leisurely poo pooing alternatives.

Lastly, let's not confuse folk medicine, which may work but hasn't been proven, with straight up quacks like Hulda Clark. Not everyone sharing this type of info has gone off the deep end.

You sound very condescending .. maybe the chemo worked for you but it didn’t for me .. I’m happy it worked for you tho but you have no right to act the way you are acting.. you basically saying I’m a snake oil salesman because I cured myself with menbendazole ( worming tablets ) and I tell people about it and the other posters who have cured their cancer with alternative methods .
. I come across a lot of people like you and they have usually lost a loved one to cancer and don’t want to think they could off helped if you knew off a cure so now you don’t want to except that people do cure them self’s ..

That’s not what some people are doing though. They’re saying “This works!”, not “Hey! This worked for me. Maybe it’ll work for someone else. I’m not a doctor though”

Just look at the “baking soda cures cancer” crowd. Lots of BS and anecdotal (at best) evidence.

I did say that caution falls on the listener of the anecdote and that science is lending some credence to some of those anecdotes, regardless of how they were presented.

Chemo and radiation therapy works passingly well for about 4 types of cancer... lung, breast, testicular and colon.

On a 5 year scale.

On a ten year scale the story is horribly different... for the Big 4 there is an average of a 2% difference between those who have tried conventional medicine and those who have not.

For the other cancers, the numbers point out that those who did chemo and radiation therapy have a higher mortality rate then those who did absolutely nothing at all.

THAT is why in America everything is tied to 5 year results.

Did you know that if you had colon cancer, did conventional treatment, relapsed in 4 years and died a horrible death at 5 years and 1 day, your cancer cure was considered a success?

How how about having a cancer, like in my wife's case, where chemo was not recommended because it had little to no effect on the cancer, but her quality of life would suck?

How about a cancer that radiation was effective on 13% of the patients the first two years and then their immune systems crashed as a result of attempting to deal with the necrosis?

Cancer is not as cut and dry as you think it is and for one specific reason.

Cancer is not a disease.

It is but a symptom of something else very wrong with your body, specifically your immune system.

Treating symptoms does not work long term on a long term problem.

Just something to think about.

Yes baking soda helps correct your bodies PH level and if associated with the fungal form of the bug it eventually kills it by making the real estate untenable.....the most expedient way to kill the bug in all areas of the body is to correct the PH levels everywhere at the same time.

Actually, it doesn’t. The human body has a very small PH margin. Anything outside of that margin and you get SEVERELY ill and, if the level is too off, dead.
