ATS.....how did you find it?

I have a odd thought about something and am wondering how long time members here came across ATS.

For me, it was in 2007 that I joined.....but was lurking well before that. I had a interest in the zodiac killer case and what all was involved and began searching everywhere. I have a itch I can't scratch for unsolved cases like that.

What I am wondering and would love to get some type of statistic on, is what brought everyone here. I am sure there are all kinds of conspiracies that everyone researched and ended up here, but there are really old members like Isaac Koi that had real connections to their particular field....

I wonder if those like Koi and Harte still exist here or is there some other place where real research resides that they have gone?

I like to think that part of the draw is getting to know those you interact with here.

I came here and observed for three or more years before signing up. I kind of felt that if I signed up I would be labeled a conspiracy nut. Now Society is full of conspiracy nuts, nuts that grew because of media twists on things.

I'll be honest, I straight up have no clue how I found ATS or what I was looking for. Probably something paranormal involving dreams and auras.

Lurked for many years, made a Google account, continued to lurk and sometime this year I started to regularly post.

But holy balls is it going to bug me now about how I found ATS. Like, was it when I was weaning off of big pharma seroquel...

I'm lowkey, little upset by this late night brain rambler.

A friend at work used to come here, gold is money, zerohedge and a few other related boards. I used to post anonymous until they got rid of that, then I signed up.

I know I can't exactly remember I joined but lurked for a long time too. All I do know is the first night I joined and started to explore all the different stuff here I stayed up all night exploring.

I can’t even remember the year I started lurking, At least 12 years ago.

Pretty sure it was a 9/11 or JFK assassin search that got me here.

Amazing how our world has evolved since.

Not in a good way.....

Some mechanic guy delivered something to my house and we started talking. He said check out ATS, so I did. Here I am a couple months later... Do they make an antidote?

I found ATS while looking into the derivatives/subprime bubble in late 2007. I joined ATS months before the crash hoping I could get more information. I didn't. But I did get sucked into Aliens and UFOs and stuck around. I'm a former moderator and still the FSME of the weapons forum.

ATS is my internet home and has been for 12 years.

I don’t remember what year I found ATS, it was a long long time until I joined though. I was looking into the dyatlov pass incident I think, or maybe the sodder family situation. As soon as I found and figured out the website I was freakin hooked!

This place, in my simpleton opinion, has so much collective intelligence i would hate to lose it.

I first came around in 2011. I wanted to learn about the mysteries of the world, secrets of Space, and new technical deverlopments. I used to frequent the message boards on Space.com until I found ATS. Once i found ATS, I knew i was home.

For me it was the time around when Putin went "missing" years back.

Saw a lot of topics that don't get discussed in other places and decided to stick around.

Same - but more because of some of the controversial stuff we cover.

Then one day I had to say something.. and down the rabbit hole I went.

Another question to add on.....do you talk to your friends/neighbors/family about what you type here? Do they share similar thoughts?

I have a brother that is kinda conspiracy oriented, but I have never spoken to him about ATS.

I was on another UFO forum and found a link here, think I was following a trail from a Fortean Times online link - it must have been way back in 2007 for me also , I´ve had a couple of accounts before this one.
