Why Is Biden Wearing a Mask at the Lectern During Campaign Speaking Events

Last night was the first time I'd watched Joe delivering any live remarks so far. I tuned in for about 8.3 seconds during the live stream last night, and my wife had the lamestream news on this AM, and what struck me about what I saw was Biden had donned a mask while delivering his speech during his "rally"

Why??

I looked at my wife and queried, "Why is Biden wearing a mask while speaking? You see anyone REMOTELY close to him at the lectern?"

We already know that his handlers are fanatical, perhaps even overzealous, with their COVID countermeasures, as they shepherd Joe to and fro, dispatching the journalists brave enough to approach Joe to perhaps get in a rogue question that his puppeteers haven't vetted. But now this just seems over the top?

What POSSIBLE reason could there be to strap a mask onto Joe before sending him out on stage? Were there alternate camera angles that I missed, showing campaign support staff closer to Joe than 6'? Perhaps the teleprompter has been moved closer?

Joe has already suffered noticeable difficulty in forming words and articulating his speech, so... I know, let's put him in thin cloth mask, with a tendency to encroach on one's mouth and impede talking...maybe that will help?

So, if I understand correctly, from the footage I saw, there wasn't anyone within close proximity of Joe while he was speaking...

Most masks get uncomfortable after wearing them for sometime, and are not going to make public speaking any easier....

So what is the reasoning for getting Joe to mask up during his campaign speaking engagements?

Maybe it was prerecorded because they knew he couldnt get through it without saying something rediculous.
A mask would cover his yap so he could mouth anything under it and it appears as though hes talking?

Im just spit balling here - I didn't, nor could, sit through anything that fool has to say.

So no one can see that Joe's lips are not moving .
What else could it be ?

How much easier would it be to deep fake a video and audio with half the face under a mask?
Hell they could replace Biden with a robot for in person speeches with a big mask and pre recorded audio.

It is all about perception and setting a example for his supporters. He is a weak, fragile shell of a person and would love nothing more than to keep the people in the US in that same mindset. There is absolutely no reason for him to be wearing it.

Which major political party had a demonstrable record of ploys and tricks to gain an advantage during the last presidential election.

Watch closely, IF/WHEN the debates proceed as planned (I know some among us are highly skeptical that will happen).

Somewhere, there are is a small group of strategists and political operatives wracking their brains, trying to develop a game plan to work around Joe's speaking and thinking impediments. I am 100% positive they are throwing everything and anything they can think of against the wall, to see what might stick (medical treatment, technological hacks, audio/visual tricks, etc etc).

In these people's sick minds, it's OK to give Joe any unfair advantage they can concoct, any advantage, because Orange Man Bad.

Because he's as nutty as anyone else who wears a mask with
out being forced to wear one He's extra nuts if he thinks he's gonna win.

Because people cry when their esteemed leaders are not wearing a mask... they have no common sense anymore.

Project fear and frustration. Nothing more. He often wears it with nobody within 20 ft. Doesn't matter though. He was busted going to commercial break breaking protocol with Cooper and Pelosi did him no favors with the special people spa day.

Makes it easier to hide the guy / gal in a mask and hide the ear piece they are using to give them answers.

How anyone could be a Dimocrat voter at this point is beyond me.

Because Biden obviously wants to suppress Americans. He's getting us used to the orwellian mindset.

He's almost dead too, like Hilary who somehow survived after all those predictions. They must be drinking baby blood, because that's how science works.

Hit the nail on the head. Democrats won’t be happy until we’re living under the tyranny of affordable healthcare and compassionate social programs. I heard they may even honor the federal law that allows immigrants to claim asylum.

WOW brilliant thought. We'll know you are correct if he insists on wearing a mask at the debates. If you remember correctly the media gave Hillary the questions in advance, not Trump, just Hillary, typical. So if they do this for Joe, which they will, they can have him prerecord the answers and no one will ever know, unless he falls asleep or gets that blank look in his eyes.

I was thinking the same thing and his pandering is like next level. we here living life in 2020 joe's pandering is like in 2345 and its so obvious.

He has to practice what he is preaching.
He has already stated that if he were president he would lock the nation back down because of covid-19. He can't spew this crap and not wear a mask because he would be coming off as a hypocrite, that he is.

The mask subconsciously tells people to remain in fear.

Would be interesting if he wore one for the debates. At that point I wouldn't put having him mic'd up under the mask with someone else speaking for him and he just moves his mouth under the mask to make it appear he is talking.

Actually, I would bet they have attempted this to see if feasible.
