DC Working Group Recommends Taking Down the Washington Monument

Muriel Bowser's working group has returned their suggestions and they want to remove some of DC's most iconic monuments.

Remember when this was only about a flag, and then it was only about taking down some "racist" statues?

Martin Austermuhle of WAMU in Washington, D.C., reports that a working committee put together by Mayor Muriel Bowser has put together its list of recommendations that will better reflect “contemporary D.C. values,” like looting and vandalism.

There are some big names on that list — and by big, we’re talking the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument.

In order to "better reflect contemporary DC values" we just have to remove a few little things like the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument, but those aren't the only things. They have a laundry list of schools, streets, buildings, etc., that have to be renamed, moved, "recontextualized" (whatever that means) in order to reflect "DC Values" (whatever those are).

So it's true. It's not about anything short of erasing history to build the narrative they'd prefer.

Notice what's missing off their little list of values? Oh, yeah ... liberty. I guess DC residents no longer value liberty, that thing we fought to become a nation over.

And, of course, I would argue that if we enforce perfect equity, then we will be abolishing opportunity. And how could DC residents value equity and liberty? You can't have both, but by removing the history of liberty from the country, we might be able to convince ourselves it's not that important.

If they are going to start dismantling iconic memorials maybe it's time to take them all down and move them along with the whole capitol to a city worthy of it. Then watch DC drown when it loses federal dollars, businesses and population.

That's all this has been about from day one. Erasing and or rewriting history and while their at it readjusting our rights.

Oh, that's what the next round of riots err protests are going to be about. I'd bet that's what kamala harris hinted at that when she said the riots would continue after elections.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, with extra ideas to sweeten the deal -- don't wreck 'em, give 'em nice, big, unused swathes of land (defunct former farms, for example) as a historical sculptures and monuments park. Name it "Historical Roots of America", let the militias come in to protect it instead of the standard security hires, and then let the chips of morons that would try # fall where they may. It'd be like moths to a flame, and end like fish in a barrel.

IMO, "the fundamental transformation of America" meant destroy it, ransack it, sell it out, spy on Americans, and build it into their idea of a marxist socialist government. In other words, turn it into a sh***ole because....you know, they truly do hate Americans, our history, our culture, our values, and especially our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Barack Hussein Obama is still active. He keeps six degrees of separation between himself and the chaos, but, imo, he is still leading the charge. He was the worst thing this country ever did to itself. Trojan horse infiltration is what we are now dealing with, imo. This is that "civilian army" he bragged about. If a bunch of rioters are "the winners" we have bigger problems than anyone realized... Anyone point out to them this would be like France ripping out the Eiffel Tower, or Rome blowing up the Colleseum to make room for apt buildings?
