I wish there was a bit more intro to this. Whats a Grumman and whilst old stuff can be really interesting, do I have to have some sort of knowledge before knowing what this reddit-like post is about?
Why is this interesting, what is it?

Grumman was a U.S. aircraft manufacturer. Hypersonic relates to aircraft or other aerial vehicles moving significantly faster than the speed of sound.

OK, thanks for clearing that up, would have liked to see this in the OP. I quite like aircraft stuff, hence I asked. I am by no means knowledgeable but I do find certain things very interesting.

Maybe you didn't actually read the eBay link? It literally tells you what Grumman is/was in the item description. And we are in the aviation forum. The OP didn't do anything wrong.
