I wonder how many more "safe" districts are going to be more contentious this election because of vote by mail?

Up until recently there was no early voting in New York and even then it was not communicated well how to and where to early vote (the two major political parties like low turnout here).

Also a predominant number of districts in NY have been "safe" for the Democratic party.

Its not unreasonable to assume that with the difficulties voting here in New York and the precession that the Democrats have a lock on elections that many non democrat voters just stay home. Because the hassle of voting for them is not worth the civic duty.

I personally felt this way for about half my voting age. With both political parties not representing my best interests and the lack of diverse choices here in NY I felt voting was a waste of time. I voted here and their just to say I did it; it wasn't until my children were born that I took a much more active position on voting. My choice might be garbage in the here and now, but that might not be ture for them and I wanted to make sure they understood the point of voting even if one's choice losses.

I am sure other areas of the country (both Democratic and Republican safe districts) have the same issues where large groups of people feel disenfranchised and don't bother to vote.

Vote by mail changes that dynamic.

Early voting creates a good market for "voting reclamation" services 😎🚬

Simplest solution is that voting happens on one day only at the polling station in person or by mail, postmarked on that day.

Problem solved.

Im all for debates. There should be many. And third part candidates should be allowed to enter.

There's probably already been 50 million democrats that have "voted". Their ballots are siting in public storage spread out in every state just waiting to be "found" if need be. Trust me. The fact the Democrat governors and Democrats in congress are doing and saying things that at any other point in history would be political suicide and not worrying about the consequences shows they have this planned out well. It will take a miracle to overcome whatever else they have up their sleeve.

And there won't be any debates. They will make sure Covid appears is too dangerous to let that happen.
