Thanks for putting up with my sometimes stupid questions.

I can't speak to the pace of an DOJ investigation, but can state that even the most apparent slam-dunk case can take time to prosecute. There are protocols and policy to adhere to. I can also state unequivocally that the more witnesses involved, the greater the time it will take to bring to a courts-martial in military venues. I've interviewed and re-interviewed witnesses a dozen times before I was satisfied with what I had. That can take a couple months or more for just one witness. How meticulous the lead investigator wishes to be can also delay actual movement on initiating perp-walks.

It is not as easy as saying "I have the evidence, lock them up!" The longest case I worked on took close to two years to complete. I'm guessing that that particular case was nowhere near as complicated as this one is proving to be. And had far less impact on National Security and touched virtually no one outside those directly involved. And had no far-reaching political ramifications.

I share your impatience and frustration, but am mollified somewhat by knowing these things just take time. I know that doesn't help much, but there it is.
