chicken egg solved

I think I may have solved a long standing philosophical question! The question being “Can God create a rock he cannot lift?”
My first response is “What just for you?”
My second response is “Of course he can he’s God”
My third response is “This question is a bit daft it’s like asking If God walked down the street to a T junction and he turned right could he have turned left and not right even though he turned right and not left?”
My forth response is that this situation reminds me of another similar puzzle as follows “can light be a wave but not a particle yet be a particle and not a wave?)
And here we have it? God is at least several moves ahead of us and we now know that the world is not beholden unto logic! Even logic itself teaches us that logic has its limits.
On the other side of this something interesting is also happening; Logic and science are answering a lot of mystical koans such as “does the wind move in the flag or the flag in the wind?” Science answers “There is a matrix of interacting particles and their forces”
Or the old timers “what came first the chicken or the egg?” “They both evolved from something else” Though probably there was something much like an egg before there was something much like a chicken dualism is dissolved!
Take heart, this does not mean that the world is becoming less interesting...Quite the opposite, though be cautious of opposites in this age.

By rules of logic, we could reply that God cannot do what He cannot do, however, God as the one who sets what rules and logic ultimately are, is supreme above the structures of logic.

This re-frames the answer such that God will not do what He will not do.

However, as you have explained, the question is framed in human limitation. If you were to make a state diagram of possible answers, there are four answers; yes, no, neither yes nor no, or both yes and no - kind of like with quantum indeterminacy.

chicken egg solved

i was raised and lived on a chicken farm for the first 25 years of my life except four the four years in the Corps. we raised them for egg sales, food for people and cat, dog food.

the egg came first, chickens are a cross breed of jungle fowl that were bread for fighting then came the domesticated chicken.

the first chicken came from a egg that was laid by a bird that wasn't a chicken to quote that deGrasse Tyson fella.

If you're religious, God made chickens who then laid eggs.

If you're inclined toward evolution, then a animal that was not quite a chicken, but was in the process of evolving into a chicken laid an egg, and then a chicken hatched from the egg, then the egg came first.

Well, I'll tell you Professor, it's like this. This was a nerve racking age old dilemma for some, the rest of us like the burnt cheese on the edge and philosophizing the ever lasting question "Why is there air"

I did an experiment, I built a chicken coop and put a nest in it, I let it sit for 20 years and an egg never showed up, then I put a chicken in it and the very next day there was an egg ! I think I know what came first..

This is a repeatable experiment if anyone wants to give it a go.

Let it sit, for 20 years, and neither a chicken, nor an egg showed-up.
Then : put an egg in it, and the very next day ; there was a chicken !

Perhaps this experiment is repeatable, and maybe even reversible ?
