Ban politics on ATS?

I don't think you can ban politics here but political threads should be held to a higher standard and members who post nothing but political BS should face tougher scrutiny ... one member springs to mind who shall remain nameless.

I'd say put an end to the political mud pit , it just encourages political BS.

Like i said, im guilty of replying to political threads. It's too easy. Im too tempted and in real life i mostly avoid politics.

Understand able, but were not learning anything and furthermore we are not focusing the website to be a pinpoint of conspiracy and interesting ideas.

Im complaining at left vs right politics. It wasn't a problem during the Obama admin because people were open to obama criticism.

The problem is not discussing the idea of politics, it is abiding by the duelism of it all.

Agreed. I honestly have some thread ideas abour andrenochrome and 5D but will they even gert noticed with the political mayhem that infects daily ats life?

ATS is built on user content.

It is also funded by site traffic.

Blurry Bigfoot pictures and lousy 911 theories don't generate nearly as much traffic as politics.

Why do you read political posts?
I scroll through the new posts and when I see something posted on tarot cards I don't click.

When I see Martha Stewart's show is on PBS I just keep scrolling instead of writing a letter to PBS complaining about Martha Stewart.

You can complain of course, it's your right but I just don't understand why you bother.

As I said, I don't even know what left or right even means, I just let the political people figure that out...and they aren't doing a good job so I get your frustration.

Most of us here are guilty of participating in the pit, including you. I didn't join here for political discussion but it's like a bad accident, you can't stay away from it. Remove the pit AND enforce decorum in the other forums and this site goes back to a conspiracy site. I'd stick around for that, even if others wouldn't. The problem isn't with the Trump supporters as much as it is the Trump haters who are far more vocal and nasty.
