Spitfire I love them oh and the old tiger moths, now there was a fighter you had to be crazy to fly

I vote F-35. When it comes out, it will be one the best fighters in the world.

Depends on the task to be performed.

From my own experience, its easier to say one most disliked: CH-47 Chinook. There's another name for it, but for etiquette's sake, I'll skip that.
It's 50,000 parts waiting for the command to fall out!

Such a difficult question: one has to think of appearance (anything delta-winged, usually), performance, the time-period, did they see action, against whom..and so forth.
The Mustang, Spitfire, Zero,Me-109, would be just a few that achieved great things against strong opponents: for that matter, the Fokker triplane or the Sopwith Camel are splendidly evocative.
And there's the Mig-15 and the Sabre: those two remain the key images of jet-powered dogfighting even now, half a century on.
Thank goodness for the variety.

I like the F117. Thats the coolest looking plane ever.

i kind of like the f-18, it must be the sloped tail sections that give it that look that makes you go, wow that's cool.
