Masks protect you from secondhand smoke so everything is a okay with smoking indoors now because smoke particles are way bigger than Covid cells.

COVID is caused by a virus. Not cells.

Viral particles are transported by droplets of mucus and saliva. These are indeed intercepted by masks.

Apparently they were New Yorkers in PA go figure.

Does anyone even know if any company that hires minors has training for them or any kind of guidance for even enforcing this policy?

He didn't condone it. He has a point, professional security should be increased as backup. But these corporations will always look for cheaper alternatives. But then again who can foresee a douchbag coming back later to hit the 17 y.o.

Yeah. People should expect that people will get violent over being informed of park rules.

"No shirt, no service? # you! I'll break your ass before I wear a shirt"

Sesame Place. A kids' park needs bouncers?

Companies should not expect teenage kids, probably making minimum wage, to enforce their rules.

people should respect private companies rules for entering their place of business and not punch teenage workers in the face for doing their job by asking /telling people to wear a mask to enter. if they can't go else where.

Idk man I’d think at the least they should have a qualified and trained security force. Call them what you will bouncers, security, moonlighting cops if they could get them. Absolutely they should have something other then a kid having to remind someone of a policy, suggesting this company tells these kids to do this is outrageous the worlds a crazy place. People are angry and at the end of their patience, asks for trouble because not everyone is civil. It’s human nature.

people should ...

Do people always do what they should? Do you? Beyond those two words, everything you typed is irrelevant to what happened.

When things do not go as they should, companies should not expect underpaid teenage kids to enforce their rules.

no.

but to remind people to wear their masks without calling security (which the park has) is the polite way to do it. which the kid did, and then later when the man saw him he attacked him for doing his job.

from the OP's link

The employee had encountered the pair earlier and had reminded them that they were required to wear masks while in the park. When the male suspect saw the employee again at the ride, he punched him, Forman said in a telephone interview.
The pair were chased by park security but were able to flee in a vehicle registered in New York. Middletown police were working with authorities in New York to identify the suspects, who were described as between ages 20 and 30, Forman said.

if the kid would have called security, you'd be calling him a snitch.

I understand that, but if the park hires kids to protect kids from evil doing non mask wearers there is an issue.

It’s irrelevant kid made himself a target by doing what they wanted, the only ones that should be doing this sort of thing are the ones capable of assessing and dealing with situations and people.

Private Property, the Kid was not responsible for the rules and was only doing his job so the arsehole that attacked him need's to do jail time, this was not about freedom this was about not obeying the rules of someone else property and forgive me if I am wrong but unlike nations such as mine (Britain) were our hand's are more or less tied and we can do very little about a wilful trespass (this is what this man and woman were doing they were in act of trespass since they were refusing to obey the rules of the land owner while on his land and were therefore not welcome - or invited unless they obeyed those rules), well over here we can do nothing, use what is called minimum force to try to remove a person trespassing on our land and if we injure them (and they have a witness) then we are the ones that get prosecuted - but over there in the US most of your states still technically allow you to shoot trespassers don't they?.

So, get the perp, bang him up in jail and let him rot.

Also despite some of you not liking face mask's there is good STATISTICAL evidence that they bloody well work and minimise the spread of more than just coronavirus and other respiratory disease, contrary to the frankly bonkers opinions of some lunatic's that claim they do no good at this time they are actually doing a whole lot of good.

The danger though is that they will become the norm, some claim this is a boon but in fact it is dangerous since we NEED to be exposed to some bacteria and virus in order to build up natural immunity's, just not to be exposed to a lab grown rogue Chinese bloody bioweapon and yes that is my actual belief I do not believe this was a random outbreak but I do believe it was an accidental one, Chinese attempts at hiding the outbreak are more than enough proof of that for me.

I suspect if this kid had been a large muscular man the perp would not even have argued, he hit him because he was obviously a kid at only 17 years of age and he hit him hard enough to injure him seriously which makes this perp a real brave guy, shame it was not someone like me - I was insulted for WEARING a mask over here while shopping and just two day's before it became a legal requirement under our current legislation enacted to handle the outbreak by some idiot younger man and by the time I had finished with him and despite the fact I kept my fists out of it he was the one with his tail between his bloody leg's.

And don't get me wrong I hate wearing the damned thing's but it is obvious that they will at least minimize both the spread of air born saliva virus (when you speak, cough, sneeze or just breath) both during your own exhalation if you have it and don't know and during your own inhalation when the mask may catch such aerosol droplets and stop them entering your own airways.

No respect for their president. Tsk, tsk.

"Whether you like the mask or not, they have an impact," Mr. Trump said on Tuesday. He later added that he "will use it gladly, no problem with it."

www.cbsnews.com...

Not their president probably some lefty with TDS for Trump saying wear a mask.

Is a virus not a lifeform? Is it not typically cells suspended in a lipid outside the host body? The exception being virii like herpes that can also be transmitted (although more difficultly) by dry flakey scales during viral shedding as well as typical lipid insertion to the bloodstream.

Those cloth masks can harbor live Covid cells for two days. Stainless steel for upwards of ten days, by the way. Cardboard is about 24 hours and copper for up to 2-3 hours off the top of my head.

And I know you like to argue, just keep in mind I was engaged to a biochemist that was working on her master’s...I can bore everyone for weeks on end because, well I helped on her thesis research project and she hated me for understanding it all.
